Is there any love left for space missions?

One of the parts of the game that I love the most are the space missions, they really get my adrenaline going, man it is nice chasing down those enemy fighters, do the attack on the stations, etc.

But after doing the missions you feel like (or I feel like I want more, dont finish yet) Do the devs have mentioned any thing about expanding these missions, maybe new missions etc?

God I hope not.
I think by "chasing down" you mean "moving the cursor so it's over one of them and pressing the mouse button"

Rail shooters are one of the most boring things I've ever found in gaming.
If they're gonna spend any time on PvE space missions, I'd rather have them spend it adapting the GSF free-flight model to it.

Considering that they are almost universally disliked (you and a few others aside), I don't think they'll be expanding on it.

Haven't heard anything about expanding it, but I love space missions. I do them once on every alt. I admit that I never moved past the minefield mission around level 40, though(and never tried the higher levels). I crafted some good purple ship armor and such on my main, bought some stuff with fleet comms, but with all the alts and other stuff going on, I never got the time to try it out.

Full fledge PVE and PVP is what I am talking about when I said I am left wanting more. I love these space missions but they are very restrictive, you can only deviate from the pre-flight path so much. I want freedom I want to fly over, under, to the right, to the left upside down finish those ships before the pre-flight path moves me out of range, that sort of stuff is what I mean.

Sorry
^^THIS^^

You're one of only a few OP. I HOPE they're wise enough to stop investing into that lame aspect of the game. We have much more immediate needs.

I think I've run fewer than 5 space missions from game test through whenever the last time I ran one was, maybe over a year ago.

I actually decked out one of my characters' ships in the thoughts that I'd put some effort into it and make some progress. But... well... there was always something better to do instead.

But, hey, at least I've done space-on-rails more than I've done PvP so it has that going for it!

GSF and space missions are a downside to the game.
I would not want to see them waste any more time improving on something that should not be in the game.
