How many characters (toons) are you allowed per server per account?

Per Server: 8
Per Account: 16?

You should not need more than 16. There is no need for it.

I agree with you, but you'd be surprised the amount of level 1-10s people will make for God-only-knows what purpose.
Looking to rer-roll from your graveyard to a healthy PvE-East Server?

There are 16 advanced classes. If you want to play each one as dark, light, or neutral you could easily go through 48 characters.

I'm guessing the story may not change all that much, though? From dark to light? I'm level 18 and I find it hard figuring out what impact my choices are having other than the light meter going up or down. So, 48 characters would be for the hard core completionist only!

Don't forget male/female, that's some romance one could miss out on.
