I have to be honest about this event

At least the STO events have some variety to them, such as the Risa summer event. Sure, they aren't the most exciting things in the world, and are a grind when you come right down to it, but there is at least a few different things to do. They at least seem like they are trying to make it fun.

This slot machine thing doesn't even deserve the label of event. It's standing in one place and clicking something for hours on end (or minutes in my case). I'm trying to imagine the conversation that lead up to this...

1st person: "Hey, we need an idea for an event."
2nd person: "I have a great idea, guess what it is."
1st person: "Some kind of mission where you see a small story along the way?"
2nd person: "Nope."
1st person: "Oh, I know, a combat mission where you fight some new enemies."
2nd person: "Nah-uh."
1st person: "Okay, I give up."
2nd person: "We make the player stand still and click the same thing, over and over and over."
1st person: "That's brilliant! What kind of rewards do they get?"
2nd person: "They get the satisfaction of knowing they are participating in an event."
1st person: "This will be the best event ever!"

While his post may have been contentious, you do understand he is both technically and philosophically correct, don't you? Moreover, if you're going to classify that as a troll, you may as well /ignore everyone here.

Personally, I don't recall ever having put anyone on any forum on /block or /ignore. I like learning and even idiots sometimes say smart things.

"Work hard for" in a video game is just a turn of phrase. It doesn't mean actual "work". It means, "I spent a lot of time doing X"

For example, if you're in a guild that likes to do ops progression, but your dps is lacking, and you practice at the ops dummy to improve, resulting in your group finally beating the boss, you have "worked hard to finish the op"

Doesn't mean it is actual work. It means you took time and effort to accomplish something in a video game.

And for some, it can be fun.

Clicking slot-machines for hours on end is no fun.

Do we get any freebie starter coins or whatever for the event? If so can we trade or mail them?

Because Dulfy says you need to click 1111 times (probably because "chance increases with every click" ) before you can win rancor doesn't mean you have to click 1111 times before you win rancor.
