Just like with GS, I would strongly suggest they hold this one close to the chest.

But I would caution Bioware in this respect....I am assuming here naturally, but I expect you expected a better response to GS than you have received. I would also guess you know the reasons why the feature did not draw the kind of crowds you were expecting.

I think folks were pretty clear what was expected, and you failed to meet those expectations. Fair or not, that is the reality of the situation.

Housing is no different.

I would recommend you do not make the same "mistake" with housing. If you do, I expect it might have the opposite effect...drive away players that are tired of getting their hopes up only to be disappointed.

Just a fair warning. The game does not exist in a vacuum. You should be well aware by now what folks expect, and you should also be aware of what will likely happen if you do not deliver on those expectations.

Just as a sidenote... I think we need to start referring to galactic starfighter as GSF since galactic strongholds is being referred to as GS now...

Disappointing but nowhere near as bad as it's made out to be. Especially after the "extended ending" updates. Still far from ideal. In spite of that, the game was still kick *** overall.

I agree with the thread, we need to know more about housing because people need to know if it worth it or not and for that i dont think they would show any detailes untill a close date to the launch so people wont have time to react

They most likely be 2-3 weeks before they start showing major stuff about it. A patch is dropping Tue. They aren't going to give major details about a patch that isn't on deck yet.

What is amusing about this is that people point at Wildstar for it's awesome housing system, which too a point it is, almost minecraft level of building. However in WS you cant sit on your couch, lie down on your bed,etc.....

That isn't what Musco has indicated the few times they have talked about it on Livestreams. He stated something along the lines that item placement doesn't work like we might expect, and that its too difficult to explain, and they plan to make a video to show us.

That doesn't sound anything like the assumptions you are making.

I'm expecting something like LOTRO's housing, which means if it's better I'm happily suprised. managing expectations is the key to happyness re MMOs.

and even LOTRO you could do a LOT with the housing system once you understood it. one thing I thought was great about LOTRO and hope BW borrows is the ability to set what ambiant music plays in a player house

That's the case with anything, but I feel like it would be a positive to stick with teasers, but give a little more depth as to what can be expected. Show more, or give more detail.

Not liking the outlook for Operations because of the very poor pacing with releases at this point, and PvP is all but ignored. I'd like something to be excited about, even if it's not something I plan to more than dabble in. Resources are being spent on this, so let's see why.

This super secret project, biggest updates ever mode that's been running since the road map was first discussed is getting old.
