for me its the second one.

I'm all for critical and intelligent dialogue. however, its not possible with some people. I do enjoy SWTOR. I'm not happy with all its aspects and I've done my share of criticism. but overall - I enjoy the game. otherwise, i wouldn't be here, talking about it or claiming that it needs to be a completely different game and then act all disappointed that it doesn't live up to my expectations.

and yes, there's a difference between living up to the actual promises and blown up, unreasonable, unsubstantiated expectations.

that and armchair developers who claim they know better than actual developers alternately amuse me and make me weep for the species.

The only way it would "break forum rules" would be if he is abusing the refer a friend system.

First off WS is POS. I tired it and didn't like it. Not saying SWTOR isn't POS but it is the best POS on the market right now in my opinion.

By the way guys, not everyone here is just a normal joe...if there is such a thing. There are some well known community members that are actually devs from other games in the industry, or work in the industry in some fashion.

One is a rather senior dev.
Another two are code monkeys for two different companies.
And a third I know of is in direct market research.

I know that a few other people here know who they are and the companies they work for, but naturally it would not be appropriate to identify them, so don't bother to ask.

In other words, there are some REAL devs here, not just armchair devs. People tend to assume that most everyone they see is not qualified to lend their opinions.

Sometimes it might be best to remember that devs play games too....and the devs for this game are, in fact, human and probably play other games too......and chat in those game's forums.
