And, as I originally suspected, my question went unanswered.

What a shame, I was just starting to think I was wrong, and we were going to have a genuine conversation about this.

I've given many irrefutable and logical arguments as to why this game is extremely below average, at best its an average game but it most definitely is a below average MMO. The 2mil+ players lost speaks for itself, of course knowing you your opinions made to be twisted as facts and your nonconstructive replies you don't care and/or easier to please due to your casualness

I do not break forum rules. Your asking me to do so, which I cannot.

It would break forums rules to tell me why you subbed again?

Shenanigans.

What rules would you be breaking again?

Happy to know you are not interested in trading mature and critical dialogue.

Get this though your thick skull that some people don't need to have critical dialogue on every thread or facet of the game. Some people are happy. And your so called logical and irrefutable facts are nothing more than opinions.

for me its the second one.

I'm all for critical and intelligent dialogue. however, its not possible with some people. I do enjoy SWTOR. I'm not happy with all its aspects and I've done my share of criticism. but overall - I enjoy the game. otherwise, i wouldn't be here, talking about it or claiming that it needs to be a completely different game and then act all disappointed that it doesn't live up to my expectations.

and yes, there's a difference between living up to the actual promises and blown up, unreasonable, unsubstantiated expectations.

that and armchair developers who claim they know better than actual developers alternately amuse me and make me weep for the species.

I'd be more than happy to have some. Do you know anyone that can provide it?

P2W does not mean what you think it means. How does having a tauntaun mount help me win? How does having orange gear that looks just like the consular character creation screen gear help me win? How does a set of new human hairstyles help me win? How do these things help me progress in the game AT ALL, to such a significant degree that one would consider them obligatory and "doing it wrong" if I didn't have them?

The only thing I could see an argument as P2W (and it would be a very stupid argument) are the lockouts on ops, flashpoints, and warzones on a F2P account, something simply subscribing would fix. It's still not P2W unless having a subscription constitutes P2W these days (and by your "logic" it might).

go to mmorpg.com go to massively go to any mmo site and see for yourself we the mmo community wanted a truely immersive star wars mmo like swg was back in the pre-cu.
How many MMO players actually visit those sites at all ever for any reason, let alone regularly and often enough to take part in polls and discussions? Even fewer than visit the official forums for their respective games. You didn't seriously think those third party niche sites are actually accurate reflections of the entire playerbase, did you? It's like taking polls on a white supremacy website and claiming they represent white people in general. You're taking a very small sample and making a hasty and completely unfounded generalization. You're looking at polls where a few hundred people have voted on websites that are, to probably MOST of us, rather obscure and trying to present it as the word of God. Stop it.

As for SWG, stop generalizing all of us. I tried--really tried--to get into SWG. Four times. At different points in the game's development. Despite my love for Star Wars, I hated that game and cannot even begin to fathom what people ever saw in it. It was crap. Complete crap. I've played several MMOs and it's the only one not on my list of games I might consider playing again. I would also have to be completely stupid to assume that my personal tastes--or the personal tastes of many people in niche threads and forums--somehow reflected the MMO playerbase in general. And that's exactly what you're doing.

So you're here to critique a game you don't even play, and presumably haven't played for quite some time based on..what..you hear from other people? I'm sure they'll make your input a priority. Please, you aren't here to "provide critical and analytical assessments", you're here to whine about a game you quit because quitting wasn't enough, you have to troll and poop all over it and ruin it for others.

So, now I'm wondering, why -would- it break forum rules to tell everyone why you've resubbed to a game you hate? Is it because you secretly love SWTOR, just like the rest of us? Or does your witness protection program require you to double as somebody who DOES in fact love SWTOR so that Italiam mob you snitched on doesn't suspect it's you?
