People PvP because they would rather beat up on other people, rather than tackled non-living player characters in the PvE and RP worlds. PvP is little more than an excuse to digitally assault another person, and then laugh about it. James Holmes was a PvPer.

Although it did transpire over lunch, I've done nothing more than have an OPINION and then defend my right to that OPINION to a bunch of people who are bothered by my OPINION of PvPers.

Since game pvp is typically public access of course there are some bullies and nutcases doing it. Just as most raids I've done over the years were fine but there are also control freaks that want to live out their wannabe dictator fantasies.

Your take doesn't make sense. Chess competitors, tee ball, pee wee football, Olympic-class athletes, boxers, martial arts competitors... Those are RL competitions, some of which ends with losers broken and bloody. But pixel slayers... those people are just plain sociopathic lol.

Thank you for explaining to them how the ignore feature works. Honestly, I think most of them just see my name, or my sig line and go on the defensive. Maybe if they showed some self-restraint and weren't always telling other people they are wrong, or that their opinion just doesn't matter, they might actually be happier in most of their posts.

If you are interested in discourse, rather than forum PvP, I'd recommend responding to people that AREN'T defensive and telling you that you're wrong.

On the other hand, if you have no interest in actual discussion, feel free to continue with your present behavior.
