Correct me if im wrong, but wasn't the housing expansion supposed to come out in about a week?

That would mean that they DID indeed intend to release something "big" around the launch of Wildstar, but they delayed it for whatever reasons.

Wildstar doesn't actually launch until June 3, though it has started its "head start" (for subs? I haven't been following it all that closely).

By hours played over the past 7 days, the stats on Raptr have been pretty consistent at 120k hours, including today as of about 5 hrs ago, so by that measure, there hasn't been the drop that the OP mentioned, at least yet.

FYI, I tried WS in beta, and it was nothing special. Felt that way about TESO too...

No matter what you want to call it, it is still content that was supposed to be released around Wildstars' release... Thus negating the OP's point.

EDIT: besides, it's not like they can toss out an expansion every time a new MMO is released... That would mean a new expansion every couple of months

(and while we would all love it if they could keep a pace like that, it would be economically unsustainable)

It is not just about Wildstar, Wildstar is just the FOTM. It IS about directly competing with the competition no matter WHEN it comes out.

I was going to chime in and say this. It's unfortunate that Strongholds got pushed back because if it hadn't, ,we wouldn't have this perceived content gap that's been triggering threads like this one. Not at all. We'd be eagerly anticipating the next patch.

What I will say, is that I've been disappointed in how QUIET the team has been. There hasn't been a whisper about the upcoming Stronghold features, nor about what sort of expansion we can expect later this year. That's left me with a rather empty feeling - we know we're supposed to look forward to something, but we have no idea what.

I place some of the guilt with the updated 'roadmap' that we got a couple weeks back, that didn't provide any information whatsoever beyond 2.8. But it's also this weekend - if it IS the grand Wildstar release, NOW would have been the time to give us a little info, a little tip of the veil, a few bones to keep us interested in what's to come. Instead, there were hypercrates for sale. It wasn't what I was hoping for.

I'm playing SWTOR because I'm a Star Wars fan. I don't care about Wildstar.
