Sith protagonist

Despite LA/Disney's mandate that SW remain family friendly I always thought it would be more interesting to have a SW film or tv show with a 'bad guy' as the protagonist. Explore things from the other side like SWTOR has done to show that things are more grey than black/white.

Pretty sure Boba Fett is going to be one of the stand-alone films that are coming up between the new "Episode __" movies. He may not be a Sith, but he usually falls in the "bad guy" camp.

Where was that ever "mandated"? Also, there are a fair number of stories out there with either Sith or dark-side protagonists.
In the Imperial Army, it takes more courage to retreat than to advance.
