It can generally be said that appearance in game is likely pretty important to the majority casual playerbase. Other aspects of the game likely suffer due to this from time to time.

For me, that is fine. I can understand how it might upset others however. Striking a balance is key, and I feel they need to focus on appearance at this time...but they are reaching critical mass when it comes to appearance options.

I guess its a good thing and generates $$$ for Bioware.

Bad thing for the few players (if any are left) that like playing the game for Flashpoints and Operations.
You weren't aware that cosmetic things like character design, armor sets, weapons, etc. are a big thing to many, many MMO players?

Its ironic. When i first started playing this game, I saw many who put A LOT of emphasis on their armor appearance and i didn't get it. After getting the feel for the game and priding myself in my achievements, I get it now and Im the same way.

I want that Sith Juggernaut Helmet with the pointy thing on top SOOOO bad....oh and a rancor mount but thats not armor.....

There is absolutely nothing and I mean nothing in this world worth doing unless you look fabulous while doing it!

It is kinda funny how much appearance, even if only to satisfy yourself, can end up being so fun. Used to be a time when I didn't care either, up till I played an MMO with a pretty damn good character creation...now its another thing I like to see done well in MMOs. And currently, I've found some armors I enjoy!

I will admit, I am a total fashion whore. I like to look good while I make things dead. I am also on a Roleplay server, so clothes make or break some of that interaction. I might spend all day picking out exactly what I want to wear on my character, what mount looks best, and what pets to go with it. I also enjoy flashpoints, warzones (when I do). I am to low for operations right now, but I have raided in top guilds in the past on other games, and look forward to trying some of that content out when I get to it here.

I would guess that if most folks do not start out having appearance as an important item on their list, that becomes important eventually.
