But CC can be turned into items that can be sold in game.

Irrelevant. CC Buys Items, not Credits.

I say some explicit things to them after I report them. Then I ignore them.

1) it is not at all clear that they do nothing.. only that they do not auto-squelch. All the characters that I have reported for currency spamming have disappeared within a day or two in SWTOR. I know this because I routinely groom my ignore list. Of course the spammers have infinite access to free accounts.. but that's a separate discussion as to resolution.

2) SWTOR has NEVER had anywhere near WoWs level of problem with currency spammers. So.. it's a false indictment on your part....based on a false equivalence.

As for WoW... again.. while WoW did a fairly good job of filtering the public chat channels (and they had to since WoW became the mother of all currency spamming markets)... they never completely eliminated it.. as there is always a way for the clever mind. It's been a while since I played WoW.. but when I left... currency spam was still alive and well in WoW.

seriously you have a problem with someone saying congrats to leveling? what about congrats on getting the roll on a nice piece of loot? Do you send a birthday card to a loved one? I'm guessing no.

I would much rather see someone say congrats on leveling and here, use my hol-statue to rank up your abilities. Instead all i get is..

space bar...plzz.....
spaccceee barr......
omg......space bar seriously??

Something BW could easily do would be to expand the ignore list. Maybe this has some effect on server performance, IDK, but it definitely needs to be expanded 10 fold.

Adding 2-3 credit spammers a day will quickly fill up my ignore list in a short amount of time. I shouldn't have to spend time managing my ignore list to try to figure out which people were spammers and if their accounts are still active.

I'd also like to see the ability for account-wide ignore/legacy ignore, meaning I can ignore someone's entire account, and that ignore also populates across MY account as well. This should ONLY be added as a feature if the ignore list is expanded. And while we're at it, the ability to add comments on an ignore list as well, like we can already do with friends. /sigh I can dream, right?

just ignore them for a few days, by then enough people usually have reported them out of annoyance and they get banned, after that there is not need to have them on ignore for obvious reasons. and they do take action, once a guy came on the forums after spamming chat with that stuff as a joke, but bioware did not laugh and hours later he was banned and a few hours later unbanned when they either finished investigating and cleared him and/or figured out it was just a joke. either way, those names are gone forever so keeping them on ignore after they are banned is a waste.

Yes, but this goes back to my point about not wanting to manage the ignore list. If someone is perma-banned they should drop off your list automatically. Plus, I haven't noticed the names on my ignore list going in any particular order, so I'd have to scroll through each day to figure out who is who - yea, no thanks.
