I've played a lot of MMOs over many years, but as luck would have it I've never engaged in one after player housing was made available; therefore, I'm quite looking forward to this feature in TOR. For whatever reason, I seem to spend a good bit of time on my ship -- crafting and ogling the GTN mostly -- so having a more pleasant venue to hang out in is something I'm looking forward to. The legacy storage will also be huge.

I have low expectations for a theme park attempting to implement sandbox features. To many, this is what it will exactly be... a sideshow and distraction with no real use. If you want meaningful sandbox features I don't think this is the place.

This, i'll bet more then 50% of the players will visit there home once, check it out maybe even decorate it.... and after that ... they won't visit it again-

Unless they need the legacy storage.

^ Bingo. All I'm interested in really unless it's way more sandboxy than I'm expecting.

Or need to quick-travel to the stronghold, grab something from or deposit something into storage, and then quick travel back to the place they came from, even if it is some desolate patch of ground in the Tatooine desert. Because that's something they have mentioned being able to do with your Stronghold (see my previous post in this thread for the Eric quote).
Going Preferred January 31, 2015.

I agree and bet that the only 'feature' of Strongholds used by the majority of players a month or two after its launch will be legacy storage.

Oh and IMO, legacy storage should be implemented as something available from the ship and Fleet (I really do not want to have to load a planet like NS or Tatooine just to use legacy storage - loading screens suck).

The internet is a crazy thing and some people are very, very rash and illogical. The sooner you realize it and accept it, the sooner you will love your life and live it in the way you want without paying too much attention and be able to answer illogical, immature things with logic and maturity, even if they don't like it. Phew, that was long hehe
Well said. No MMO, in any of our lifetimes, will ever live up to the hype of human speculation.

I suggest people keep their expectations in-check and stay realistic.

So ... what you're saying is that every new MMO development is really just a blind date? Your friends can tell you how hot/funny/wonderful he/she is, build up your expectations, then you show up and realize that you would have rather stayed home and sorted your sock drawer because your date isn't quite as hot/funny/wonderful as you had believed/hoped? Yeah, I guess I agree with that perspective.

So why don't just simply add the legacy storage to the ship + the quick travel aswell.. would save time, MUCH more useful , u get all in one, even saves programming space. and isn't a lie about "content" cause IT IS NOT
