Because real slot machines are oh-so much more fun right?
Not that these aren't boring but the game theory science behind modern slot machines is specifically aimed to be engaging. There is none of that here.

The very second that this became about running two machines or more at once this was obviously not of interest to me. Assuming there is not a quest sequence ala those from the Grand Acquisition race with the casino, then whoever approved such a minimalistic state has no place being a game producer because this is lazy.
Laugh and the universe laughs with you, cry and you're on the path to the dark side.

Some posters here have speculated that might be a reason, but I doubt it.
But BW has never said that to my knowledge.
Im not sure either. I think one of their employees said that with his "yellow" text. Or as you said , there are a tons of threads about Pazaak. Maybe I was fooled by some speculation posts in there. But Im 100% BW said NO to pazaak a few months ago.

Walk into any casino in the world and you'll find people playing more than one machine at the time.

And I'm 100% sure they haven't ever said NO to pazaak. I do, however, know that they have said that it is on the wall of crazy for quite some time now.

EDIT: Did an advanced forums earch looking for the word Pazaak paired with every one of the "yellow" text forum names and nothing popped (except once where pazaak was in the quoted message replied to by the yellow text, but no mention on pazaak in that reply)

That's because real-life slot machines are scientifically designed with music, sounds, lights and other visual effects to stimulate an endorphin rush. Real-life slots machine return between 90-97% of the money played in them. To make money, all a casino has to do is make the machine fun enough to keep people playing them long enough.

The BW version of slots are about as engaging as watching paint dry.

So by putting them in game, Bioware are going to force you to play slot machines 24/7?

I'd like to see some statistics backing up that 90-97% claim...

We`ve got Slot Machines now How nice! And some hookrs and gigolos outfits too...
They had pazaak on KOTOR, I really don't see the issue now especially that they are adding slot machines. Bioware. Add pazaak!
