Well, its been said. Bioware is more than aware of what the true number of participants in PVP stands at, and if I were to guess I would expect that this game lines up with most games on the market with both PVP and PVE...meaning that PVP players are likely the smallest group of players in the game.

It is a bit silly IMO to try and tell a bus driver that his bus can't carry more than 2 people. My guess would be he will likely not be moved to agree with you.

But in the past they give the pvp'ers a little love and then abandon us for tooo long....lets not do that again.

Give us some new (different looking) pvp gear, give us permanent options to make good money, and do some major things to keep the queue's poppin. As well an occasional new warzone.

I will admit this thread is ill timed since right now they are starting to focus on us finally. Perhaps its just a final rant to try and see to it they don't quickly change course again and forget about the majority of its players.
Are you new to MMOs? We'll assume you are.

PVPers whine. A lot. That is in no way an indicator of their population. I don't know anyone in-game that PVPs, for instance. I don't know anyone who plays GS PVP either... still trying to figure out why they wasted so much time on that. Considering that the entire Galactic Starfighter release was PVP, I would say you don't have any room to complain of neglect, especially compared to the massive population of PVErs that haven't had a new Operation to run in... how long?

Claim: Bioware: Most of your players are pvp'ers.... figure it out!

Reality: Not bloody likely.

Besides, as has been mentioned, Bioware has EXACT NUMBERS for how many players participate in PvP versus PvE on a regular basis. In-game metrics. Not based on useless numbers like thread count on a forum.

As a pvper, let me just say that not all of us are ***holes either. Also I want to clarify why many people do not count gsf as pvp. You see our pvp grew around out ground characters long before gsf came out, we preffer using the characters we have access to all the time compared to our ships in gsf that we only get to use in those matches. While I enjoy gsf myself I do understand that there is a huge fundamental difference and why they should be considered different.

I would also point out, historically, that studies demonstrate that although PVP players tend to be a vast minority in MMOs, they tend to be the most loyal players.

There is value to a game company when players are loyal.

Well, certainly pvp players are more vocal (and I would argue a heck of lot more annoying). The quiet life of a pve player doesn't usually include a lot of forum posts. We'd like things like a costume tab, but we know our requests fall on deaf dev ears. Be very careful making lose observational claims with no vetted statistics to back it up.

Hate to disappoint you, OP, but no, you are wrong on all counts. I play PvP on all my alts ... mostly just to be able to navigate PvE maps without being two-shot by goons in PvP gear. It's also a good secondary way to level and gear one's alts in this game.

That being said, while I come across hundreds and hundreds of different players in the PvE maps, I can count on my fingers and toes all the PvPers on our server. No matter how much you try to blow your bubble, you are a minority...
