I'm very liberal with my /ignore and /report functions. I seldom see them anymore.

Frankly, they are beginning to annoy me as well. Even in the morning, there is always at least one goldspammer advertising in yell-chat.
Additionally, the spam in gen-chat...
I tend to log around on my characters a lot, so even the same goldspammer can get quite annoying when you have to ignore him with every single character.

I have general, pvp, and trade chat filtered into a 3rd tab that I rarely click on anymore. Main tab I can see everything else going on that is important, like my guild, whispers, and my group chat.

I'm tired of /ignore & /report.

There isn't any kind of automatic spam detection! And thats ridiculous!

It's easy to write a script to detect them, like they are spamming at the moment.

It's always the same sentence. Absolutely no variation. Even the next account, after they are finaly banned, uses the same. Absolutely no variation.

You can count the seconds for the next credit.spam in the general chat. No variation.

Please BioWare, detect this with a script and don't send their spam - without telling it to them (and make it harder for them to check if their messages are banned or not).

Even if a regular player is sending periodically the same message too often, and he's not a 'Goldseller', ban the message, automatically.

Agreed. After so many "Spam" reports, they should be silenced. The technology is there, Bioware should use it.

If it is so easy, why don't you write the script for them and provide it to BW as a gift?

Now in response to your original post, yeah I get tired of them for a bit,but I would usually only see that in the fleet. I would go somewhere else for pve or pvp and the chat gets less spammy. So i'm good on that.
This is so what I thought lol!

Of course it is annoying, but if you report as spam and ignore it won't be as annoying. Plus I occasionally make a game of finding them and /slap them.

It's better for them to monitor and program a long-term solution to the problem. Plus, they can monitor the sellers to see who is doing business with the sellers.

See, those credit sellers are doing more than selling credits. They're also 'buying' credits from legit players for resale to other players. So, the TOR monitors have legitimate reason to try and observe as much of the process as possible to see exactly who is involved with the whole illicit mess.

Muting the sellers would be easy, but they can do more good by letting them talk and see who approaches them.
