You didn't read what I said did you?

Today I learned "I'm not saying your opinions are invalid" means "Your opinion's are invalid." Is it opposite day?

In comparison to SWTOR, yes the visuals of this game are cartoonish.

You seem to have cartoon/fantasy mixed up. Not the same thing. My character and everyone elses characters in SWTOR look like they were made for a cartoon show. They are cartoons. Not on the same level of ridiculous that WoW and Wildstar are, but they are cartoonish still.

Aion's housing...is nothing compared to what SWTOR's. Those visuals from a much older game are incredibly out of date to SWTOR's. So yeah that game is cartoonish this game is not.

It's incredibly clear that you seem to be suffering from rose tinted glasses. This game is cartoonish. the colour pallete, the character models, the character details. Cartoonish. Is it bad? No, it was done to reduce texture and model loads while maintaining a decent aesthetic, but to deny its cartoonish? You don't seem to see reality.

It's not hard.

Chat bubbles make this game more cartoonish? Don't think so. Comic bookie? Maybe, but comics are a wide genre of things, depending on how a feature is implemented affects how something looks or feels. How the characters were implemented in this game, makes them feel C A R T O O N I S H.

I responded to someone saying "chat bubbles make games childish and cartoony" And if they want to say something as arbitrary as chat bubbles make something childish and cartoony, they need not look further than the presentation of the games already cartoon like nature.

I never get why people are defending Bioware's lack of chat bubbles based on lag.

Like, I have nothing for, or against chat bubbles. I couldn't care less whether they are ever implemented or not. But seriously, why do people just keep buying into Bioware's "technical problems and performance issues"-excuse? They use that excuse for LITERALLY everything.

Chat bubbles? Performance issues.
Warzones bigger than 8v8? Performance issues.
OWPvP? Performance issues.
Bigger raids? Performance issues.
Bigger guild roster? Performance issues.
Bigger effing mission log? Performance issues.

The Hero Engine (or at least Bioware's implementation of it) is so horrible, that ANYTHING causes performance issues. Anything and everything. An increase in MISSION LOG SIZE for God's sake is causing lag in Bioware's internal tests? Seriously?

Either the game is built on tissue paper, or Bioware just plain does not want to do it and is using the weakest excuses to cover up for it.

Either way, that's not a good thing.

to be fair though I have seen complaints somewhere though posted by former beta testers about it they said they hated the high level of lag and said it was horrible, if thats not legitimate performance issues I do not know what is.
