Hi....been in the group finder queue for yonks trying to find a group to run maelstrom for the hk part with no success. Do people bother to run this quest anymore or do they just use legacy unlock to unlock HK and get him that way?

If I chose to buy HK can I simply delete the quest or am I left with the gathered HK parts stuck in my inventory forever!...would hate that heh. Could I just simply delete the quest after purchasing with no side effects?

You can only buy HK if you already have him on one of your toons (unless this has been changed).

So if you already have him buy away, there won't be an issue.

Honestly though, if you are geared enough you can solo HM MP (easily soloable in Arkanian).
