Are you implying that Devs were in fact laid off because the lack of AC change? Did I read that correctly?

Were that the actual case, don't you think AC change would be a reality by now? It was mentioned as "likely to happen" in November of 2012 IIRC. 18 months is a LONG time to fix something that apparently got folks fired over.

Or are you saying that it is *going* to happen? Because there is also zero evidence of that.

It's definitely not an entitled life, where I feel I'm too busy to do something the hard way and want to buy a shortcut. Thats for sure!

That makes two of us, but fortunately there is NO time limit on leveling. I have not once had a character automatically deleted because I did not get to max level within a certain amount of time.

Again, you are creating victims where NONE exist.

Anyone playing this game is in the top 10% of income earners ON THE PLANET. You wanna see victims? Come to Afghanistan, where I am. Or, you can go to just about anywhere in Africa, excluding Morocco, Egypt and South Africa.

If they are playing this game at all, they have disposable income, a computer and access to high speed internet. How is it again that they are "victims"?

No, you want to call them victims so people feel sorry for them and look to you as their champion. That game doesn't work with me.

As I pointed out, I work 84 hours per week. I have a wife and 2 kids. I have still found the time to level 15x level 55s. 4 of those, I knew I wouldn't like and didn't like. But I did it anyway.

Sorry guy, if AC respec is make it or break it for them, I will gladly point them to another game more to their liking.

Nope. I'm saying that the Devs should work hard to make it as easy as possible on players to enjoy playing the game. MMOs are fluid games with ever changing mechanics. Allowing your players to adjust to those mechanics helps the game long term.

i think you guys are missing the point a bit.. imagine you have a main that you've played for forever basically and you pretty much get bored with the direction that AC has but you're really liking the other AC connected to that class now.. would'nt it be great if you could keep that same character and have all the speeders, pets, toys etc and also keep your name?

vanity is a big thing in mmo's and it sometimes comes in the way of people experiencing other aspects of the game.

as long as you can't be every class/AC on the same character it does'nt matter.. and the argument about people not knowing how to play their new AC when they switch is just silly.. not everyone is a complete idiot and cant figure things out in a short amount of time. and some might allready have an alt with the other AC but they just want it to be on their main for various reasons.

No, YOU are the one labeling them as "victims", not me. I'm saying let them pick whatever freaking AC they like because it doesn't impact me, or YOU, one freaking bit. If someone would be happier being a Sage rather than a Shadow, big freaking deal. WHY do YOU care? Let the players who dislike their AC switch it if they want. No victims, just a way to create a happy player from an unhappy player. It's a game, it's meant to be FUN, not punitive.

Unless I am mistaken, those players who would rather play a sage than a shadow can do so now. They cannot have one simply handed to them, though. They have to earn it by putting forth the modicum of effort required to level it.

If you are referring to classes being nerfed and the opposite class being buffed, that is NOT a reason to allow class changes, IMO.

I do understand the desire to keep any unique and no longer obtainable items a given character may have, though. I suggested earlier a compromise that would allow players to keep any unique and no longer obtainable items while at the same time addressing many of the concerns that those against class changes have expressed.

Level is reset to level 10
Planetary quests are reset
Story line quests are unaffected. All companions remain and affection is unaffected.
Passive XP boost is granted to help offset loss of XP from any class quests that have already been completed.
Class change should have a high cost, whether that be paid with CC's or credits.

I would like to add one clarification. Passive XP boost should be effective only until previous level reached. For example, if you were level 25 when you changed class, the XP boost is only effective until you reach level 25. this is to prevent anyone from exploiting by changing class at say level 15 and gaining that XP boost to level to 55.

So how many of you will rage and pretend you quit when Bioware finally comes online and states the obvious: they have no intention of doing this for the foreseeable future?

456 pages and Bioware hasn't come in here to say one thing.
