I posted my specs at least a few times in the last thread, and I feel like posting it yet again... in case they missed it or something and it could be of any help. I wish I knew how I could contribute to fixing this game further.

Help me, Bioware Kenobi; you're my only hope!

DxDiag:
Spoiler

Typically 20-30 FPS, randomly drops to 1.0 - 5.0. Runs a lot smoother in confined areas. Long loading screens. And for some strange reason, the game goes ape**** on my ram when -exiting- the game. I've tried all the hints and tips you've provided, and more.

Vanguard failed, EQ 2 failed, WAR failed, AoC failed, Aion failed, Champions Online failed. All games that had great graphics and potential but the masses couldn't run them properly and everyone un subscribed. Bioware don't add your name on to this list for the love of God. I really hope you can clean this up and be the true WoW killer that you potentially are.
Very true. Part of the experience that makes any MMO great is the online community of fellow players. If the population begins to dwindle, then it will take its toll on the players who CAN play the game properly.

Guild leaders with this issue for example may have no choice but to quit playing, leaving their guilds in disarray; PvPers with this issue won't submit to the frustration that comes with 25 fps, so they'll not play resulting in a less competitive PvP experience. This could lead to worse things that would ultimately lower the overall experience of the game for EVERYONE. My brother is having no FPS issue like I am, but he said he won't play if I'm not playing.

Godspeed Bioware.

yep.

if this game aint sorted shortly it'll be dead before it starts. not even f2p will rescue a game with such massive glitches.

GTS 450
Pentium (R) Dual-Core E5700 @3.00 GHZ
4 GB RAM

My game seems to have problems whenever I use Fast-Travel, complete mission objectives, or whenever I open the game menus. It'll run fine for a few minutes at best and then the frame-rate will drop to the point of basically freezing. I was actually running the game fine (except for getting the Taris bug) ever since Early Access but it's basically unplayable for me.

So true. I know this issue is wide spread also because almost every person in my guild has been un happy with there FPS and whenever I talk about it in general chat tons of people chime in with gripes. Low fps on amazing rigs etc. This seems like more of an issue then most MMO launches. If they can clean up these FPS issues they have a potential WoW killer on there hands as long as they handle end game and pvp well. Hopefully Bioware can fix what many companies in the past have failed to do. I will keep my faith for the next few weeks. But heed my warning. Once people hit a breaking point the subscriptions drop off immediately. I remember Vanguard going from like 500k to 150k within 3 months after launch. The game had the potential to keep improving with how much fun it was and had that classic EQ feel. They failed to address everyone's FPS issues and the player base was gone in a blink of an eye. Difference is Vanguard was amazing graphically at the time and they had just made a game that needed to insane of a rig for most any casual gamer to play. SWTOR doesn't even look amazing or even on par with Mass Effect 2 graphics. This game shouldn't be stuttering/fps jumping all over etc. Makes absolutely no sense.

when you run a game with the sheer detail of skyrim, on highest settings, with absolutely no problem at all - then this piece of star wars software really struggles to even run properly and becomes unplayable (even crashing your machine for no apparent reason) then there is something seriously wrong.

rush released?

Just keeping this at the top. Huge issue for me as well. If FPS isn't fixed in the next month I won't be subscribing. This is a game breaking issue.

I want to add another point (sorry for my bad English):

In WoW, some players experienced lags in Arenas only, much like many players just have lags in warzones here.

It had nothing to do with the game, the engine or the player´s pc, but with the way the game was coded and transported through the web by a third party-company (located in the individual player´s "neighborhood"). This third-party-company had issues with the specific "packages" sent for the arena-part of WoW and Blizzard couldn´t do anything about it. As far as I know, the issue isn´t fixed till today

The game worked AMAZING on HIGH on my old comp which only had a GTS 450, 6gb ram, and a 2.6GHz processor. THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM RUNNING THIS GAME WITH MY CURRENT COMPUTER ABOVE!!! Seriously it's unplayable.
i would hope you wouldn't be using crossfire
