3). BioWare's poor balancing methods made other classes/specs underpowered.

Smash wasn't an OP spec at all(Aside from double smash and you acknowledged that smash wasn't necessarily an OP spec). Other classes were underpowered and nobody wanted to try to learn to actually counter the smash spec.
I think map design had a lot to do with it as well. The node radius made the spec very very favorable in regs.

An autocrit that did high damage and stacking multiple of them made Smash absolutely nonsensical.

I've seen it a few times now where a guardian/jugg can heal to full with their revamped FD/ED while more than 2-3 dps are attacking them. Saying FD/ED is a little overtuned is like saying the Titanic took on a little water.

as far as I'm concerned, the problem isn't whether they heal to full but whether they become an overly dominant FOTM. in ranked.

e.g. hybrid VG/PTs were a problem before they got nerfed. Are DPS guardians a problem or is simply a matter of not being used to the current status quo?

...

nerfing enure for DPS and keeping it as is for tanks (as mentioned above) is possible.

I am a bad player, so what?

Additionally, I think Menace is right, the heals from Vigilance are more "memorable" because they're noticeable and happen rapidly. The thing is, it's a CD. Watchman can heal at ANY time as long as a burn crits. I really don't think there is anything to see here.
What I am trying to say is that BW nerfed shadow/sin tank's self heals due to it being allegedly hard to balance. After a while, self heals were taken out completely. But now they buffed another self healing mechanism in another heavy armor class that gives even better healing than shadow/sin tanks of old. I just find this mind boggling.

10 charges, and they either burned another cooldown around the same time or there were 2-3 bads in the mix giving him free heals. Besides, Vanguards complaining about Guardians when they have Kolto Godmode? Seems a little hypocritical.

Shadow TANK getting selfheals. Selfheals + damage mitigation is hard to balance. Jug DPS have little mitigation, active or passive, so selfheals are easier to balance.

Only DPS that really have enough mitigation to make selfheals hard to balance are Powertechs.

Ah, my mistake then, i thought the self heal was available in all trees.

Everyone is complaining that TTK is low, because 32k health just get blown away. And at the same time 32k heal is too much?

Yes it's strong. Needless to say: I really like not being a sitting duck for any competent stealther on my guarded node anymore. I know... sucks when the easy kill stops being that.
