Bioware RPG for gods sake, play more chars.
Following that logic we should remove the options to change your name, your legacy (play on a different server!) and the general appearance of your character.

The Mitharr Legacy - Way too many characters to name here.

They don't want you to learn all skills on same character. It only works in games that aren't story driven like SWTOR. More to point, there's only one game that allows you to learn all skills on same character, that one space sandbox with largest battles in known video game history.

It will most likely be like changing species, or altering toon - pay each time you do it. For such an important item such as an AC, you will likely have to pay at least more than species change - that is above 700CC each time you switch.

I`d rather have 3 separate toons / AC`s = tank / DPS / healer and save me the trouble. In time, everybody can go towards FOTM classes, especially if you get opposites in each: like powertech and assassin, for instance, as, if one gets nerfed, you have the other viable (like it happened with the HP regen with the `sin, for instance).

To me, this is just a stupid idea, because it is WAY too expensive for what it offers.

I think it would be nice to have the option. I would change my sniper to an operative in a heartbeat!

Wow... A lot of needlessly butthurt people here... Its absolutely going to happen at some point because it is monetizable... That is all that matters to this company... You people that think it isn't are living in a fairy tale wonderland...

If it is sooooooo money-making, then why do we not have class changes yet? Why would BW leave all that money sitting on the table?

Could it be because it might cost them more in subs then they would make from the "lazy, entitled, have to have it now and for as little effort and cost as possible" crowd? Could it be because they intend that your choice of AC is PERMANENT as you were told at least 4 times?

Let's not ignore the fact that in the eyes of the devs, your AC IS your class, no matter what some posters would wish.

I think that they may implement class changes at some point, just not at any time in the foreseeable future. I do not think we will see class changes added until this game is on its last leg.

I really don't see them losing any subs at all over AC switching. Its just not the apocalypse some people make it out to be. Also, I find your characterizations pretty funny.

There are players who feel strongly enough about class changing that they WILL lose subs if they allow class changes. How many they will lose is anyone's guess.

Look at it from a financial perspective also. Right now those who want that new class handed to them paying and playing by leaving class changes as a "possibility". They also have those against class changes paying and playing by not implementing class changes.

If they were to come out and give a definite "No", they risk losing those who want that new class handed to them because they are too averse to the modicum of effort required to actually level that new class. If they implement class changes, they risk losing those players who feel that class changes should not be allowed.

Haha...Its funny because I would do that. I'd think "well, theres only a small percentage of players that even bother with the forums...so to keep the percentage of those players that post about wanting to change their AC we'll just say something non-committal. That way the yeas and nays will be somewhat content." All while having no intention of doing it.

....and I was going to do it I'd make it ridiculously expensive AND you have to complete a super duper hard almost impossible mission solo and you only get class starter gear as a reward.

I don't think they will though. I don't even think any of the people wailing and rending their garments in this thread (those still sub'd) will quit over it. Its just not the end of the world.

At this point I'm probably more interested in why people get their panties in a twisty, knotty wad over such a non-issue. It weird, and a little creepy, how hyperbolic and over the top some of the folks who post on MMO forums can get.
