Is the "Stun Wars Online" meme falling on deaf ears?

IMO the hard stuns (incapacitating) are on to short a cool down. They also don't add enough points to the resolve bar. So many times I am dead waiting behind a glass door with a full white resolve bar that is counting down while I am waiting. When I re-enter the fight my resolve bar is back to zero.

I honestly don't know if SWTOR can right the ship after it has already sailed. It's probably to late to make real changes to prevent or do away with stun locks.

Tweaks to diminishing returns and the cost of hard stuns are a good place to start.

I can't honestly believe anyone who PvP in this game enjoys being stunned for the duration of there impending death.

With stuns taken completely out of the game and you were find yourself in this situation. You would be dead just the same.

I understand his concerns. You can be picky about his concerns and be jerks about it, but I just left a game, WoW, where CC's became that bad, where you were CC'd and helpless and being melted to ground, by 1 or multiple players. True, no skill in that. I do not want to see that happen in this game, but seems to be leading in that direction. So, a plea to the Dev's, don't go in that direction.

Hang on, how is the cc "getting" out of control? It's not like new forms of crowd control are being patched in periodically.

I promise, the meanies cc-ing you are susceptible to the exact same thing. We are all playing the same game here. Not trying to be a horse's arse here, but if you can't adapt, maybe move on?

The melee classes that don't use cc are getting phased out. The classes with lots of cc are getting phased in. More cc. It's not as much a problem for ranged classes - most of them, if they stay at range, are not going to get hit by nearly as much but even there a couple assassins focusing on one person can remove anyone (ranged or otherwise) from being able to play ad infinitum.

I assume you mean knights/warriors. The only class in the game without a 4-second hard stun. But that 6-second AOE mezz is nice.

In swtor stuns are there to help less experienced players kill experienced players. I can 1 v 2 even with the current set up and in the past 1 v 3 in a OP. Its an attempt at balance that does get used as a crutch pretty often. In my opinion its reasonable for 6 people to chain stun me because depending on the class im playing, even while being focused I can still kill one of them so why give me that chance. There is often a pretty large skill gap and the stuns help bads feel good.

It's funny even with stuns sometimes players are so bad they use the wrong abilities while I'm stun and then I just kill them anyway. I'm sure they immediately come here and accuse me of hacking even though they spent 4 seconds spamming me with basic attacks.

That being said when I use stuns im sure it feels horrible because if im in a assassin or shadow it just feels like 10 seconds of hell where you just aren't allowed to move. I wish there was a mechanic that let 1 skilled player beat 2 skilled players but that just isn't possible with the current stun resolve mechanics.

You keep using the 6v1. Sounds like a straw man to me: no one's suggesting that they should be able to win or survive for long in that situation. And, FYI, BW has agreed that there is too much cc in their game - they've just failed to really address it although they have recently taken baby steps in that direction.
