Oh let him be. He's here, he's paying...he's not required to praise the game to play it and he's obviously not locked into SWTORs long term or short term success...he doesn't feel the way about this game that you do, but his comments are no less valid, nor his money any less valuable. He still offers feedback...like it or not.
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

And after 'No gate', many PvPers are leaving or will be when their sub is up
I still don't think there is a better all round mmo, or better pve mmo at the moment. Class stories, even end game to a point is better than anything else out there including ESO. Also not keen on the way that ESO is going community and playstyle wise (more EVE than SWTOR), everything is about being as selfish as possible, with the developers seeming to allow gold selling, scamming, and "buyer beware" to reign. If they don't knock it back the community could end up toxic like EVE. In fact I was tempted to try it on one alt just to see how far I could push it (i.e. take everything I could out of a guild bank just because I am allowed to).

can I just say how amused I am right now - now that ESO is out... that doomsayers are moving on to Wildstar as their next SWTOR killer. seeing as ESO didn't exactly managed to do so (because among other things its not even made for the same demographic - its a different game for a different player)

I need to stock up on popcorn, for when wildstar is released

Sorry to say but with Wildstar having challenging end game content designed for players who enjoy challenge, and want to be at the top of their game. I would wager people will be curious about the hardcore side of raiding again.

I mean hell Wildstar will have server first achievements. Something this game still has yet to put in. This game stands to take away a lot of the Pve crowd with the amount of end game content they are putting in.

No it really won't take away lots of the PVE crowd, and you want to know why? Because it is not Starwars and from what I have seen the game is so cartoony that it puts me off completely. Yes hardcore raiders might be tempted to try it out but don't make it sound like it is going to take away everyone as I know for sure alot of people will stay.

EDIT: And you are not sorry to say, so please don't say you are.

The sad fact that Star Wars is the only reason people play this game says a lot. "Cartoony" is a stylized art style, instead of looking into a game you automatically dismiss it because of graphics lol. I am sure a lot of people will stay. Guilds that want challenges presented to them in the form of raids will want to find a game where the challenge is at.

EDIt: Good to see you know so much about the game though.

And neither do you. The fact is you made claims about how you know the PVE crowd will leave for Wildstar so in turn I made claims that they won't. Why did I do that? To prove that what you said is not a fact but an opinion the same thing I say is just an opinion.

just to say something. stylized art style or not, but it IS a good enough reason for a lot of people to pass on a game. becasue if you are actively not enjoying the look of the game? it makes it unfun. no matter how good other factors of the game are.

the problem with wildstars look isn't that its stylized art or that its cartoony... its that its very childish looking.
can't wait for this game to come out!
