What was your biggest /facepalm moment?

Voss. I was on my second merc, doing the bonus series rather underleveled for it but hey, I had Treek with me, it seemed almost too easy for once. There was one mob left to take out (this was on that Gormak-infested island), and instead of running all the way back around on the island itself I had a brilliant idea: speed over the water to the other side where he was standing out on one of those little piers.

I attacked from below.

He ran away. Treek ran away.

I realized what I'd done- facepalm moment- and put Treek on passive. She jogged back through the water dragging a massive pack of Gormak weaks and silvers behind her.

Got obliterated, of course, but I was laughing so hard it made my idiocy worth it

I don't remember what level I figured this out, but it was far later than it should have been. Fortunately, it was all basic leveling crud that I lost, so no big deal. But, man, did I feel stupid about that.
This reminds me of the old joke where the guy buys a new car every time the ashtrays get full that is a good one!

Oooohhh, you meant in game, um yeah, that. Most of the time it's when I don't pay attention and run off a platform of one or another either on fleet or the taxi platform of Dromund Kaas. And I think almost all of us have accidentally summoned the Pilgrim on Voss at one point or another. Hey look a glowy clicky thing, what does that do?
I didn't even make it that far before learning that lesson. Mine was on Taris. Saw a body on the ground, clicked it and was dead. I barely got a chance to realize something spawned I died so fast. Then, figuring I'd send my companion in first I did it again... That didn't work

I checked my GS for equipment, and ... realized that I had leveled my GS in armor with all kinds of main stats, not just Cunning. I had used real world logic with MMO game play. My GS needs Aim, right? How else will she shoot straight? My GS needs Strength, right? More power for those Blaster Whips. My GS needs Willpower because, uh, so that the Force will be with her?

Oh, my goodness.
On the basic silliness of the /facepalm I would still say that mine beats yours. On the fact that you made it all the way to 50 without realizing it you win hands down

Just the other day.... I was on my trooper on Hoth waiting for that first crate to move around to my position in the Star of Coruscant for the datacron. There was another player waiting and as the crate neared, she jumped up on it. I ran up and jumped, lagged, and bounced off the crate, right into that gold elite that stands there who just respawned a few seconds earlier.

To her credit, the Jedi offered to help by dueling me and bringing me back up on the crate. I was too embarrassed that as soon as I killed the elite, I left, and told her I'd take a run at it later.

Yeah! I'm the hero of Havoc! I've saved countless lives, and brought some highly skilled traitors to justice. I also cannot jump on a simple crate.
A well-built sniper rifle is a beautiful thing. Ours has two zoom modes, "Up close and personal" and "Hello, you're dead."-Sev

"There's no such thing as overkill; just dead and not dead enough."

I made my biggest /facepalm about 2 years ago when I eventually learned that orange armors are something special. I remember like yesterday how I sold the RD-07A Spider gauntlets from the heroics on Coruscant to the vendor for a few credits. A couple of weeks later I farmed that heroics a couple of hundred (!) times until I finally got them again to complete my smuggler's set.

A nearly similar /facepalm occured when I learned in December 2013 that there is an auto-walk available in the game. Seriously, it took me 2 years to find that out - by luck.

/facepalm number 3 is for deciding to make my commando medic my PvP main in summer 2012. What an utterly horrible idea.

Mine is fairly straight forward.

Doing Force Leap on my warrior in one of the Czerka Flashpoints JUST as a Sorc does the knockback on said mob RIGHT into a pit.

Imagine the slow mo vader yell: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo............!" as my warrior jumps right into the damn pit after the mob.

Then I laughed so damn hard....

Playing my assassin, used my sheathing ability next to platform edge and on the second walking back and forth animation she fell of the edge.
