It's because you said you had unsubbed because of double XP that you got some harsh replies. Because it seems overly dramatic to some people to react that way to something that usually only happens every few months.

Actually yes you can. Just allow people to opt out. Then you can get your XP bonus, and the people who want to pace themselves through the game can do that as well. Problem solved.

And like I said, the reason doesn't matter - it doesn't have to matter. Some people like Spinach; others detest it. You don't need to know the reasons of the people that hate it to understand why they would want an option not to eat it at their favorite restaurant. It's enough to know that they don't like it, they don't want it, and they should have that option instead of being shown the door.

My original thread here made no mention at all of unsubbing. The unsubbing happened after the vitriol from the forum and being repeatedly ignored (forum and pm) from BW.

Your first thread has exactly 1 personal attack in the first 5 pages(not bothering to read more pages unless someone states there are more). I recall a lot of negative reactions to your unsub because of 2x statement, but what'd you expect?

Some people do. Some would like the option to disable/enable XP awards at will. The only cogent argument that can be made against such an opinion is "Not worth the dev time."

Skimmed around 4-5 pages of it. Not going to read all of it sorry. There are some rude responses, but everybody gets them. Hell, I was insulted for complaining about posters hiding their referall links in an attempt to trick people into clicking them. Can't see anything that counts as vitriol, and it certainly doesn't look like the forums are ganging up on you, which is the impression I've been getting from your recent comments. The majority just seems to disagree that it matters as much as it does to you. Like I said, posting about unsubbing over an event that tends to only happen every few months, and that a lot of players seem to enjoy is what got you some hostility. Not to mention that you openly started derailing threads because you didn't get the response you wanted.

I think you will find what you can't see in that thread is the posts that have been moderated. Even the thread where I mentioned unsubbing has been moderated, and the worst of the attacks are no longer viewable to the general population. As I said, the unsub was a reaction to what has happened when I made a request, not the other way round.

And have crowds of 54's with "XP off" farming 30-54 warzones till they're maxed out.
