yeah this sums it up well, besides if a ceiling were made on prices then the "rich players with billions" as the op says would then just buy the whole GTN defeating his whole point!!!

I've got some 'friends' that could arrange that.
I'll tell you what, then. Why don't you call me some time when you have no class?

Actually, you are mistaken, even though your short answer is correct, from my perspective. The long answer would actually be: There already is. What ever someone is willing to pay for an item. For example, there was a Magnificent Dancer hat listed for 600k, not sure what that guy's thinking, but meh, I bought the one I needed to complete my set for 4k. Nope, that's not a typo, 4k. There's the OP's limit on what items should be sold for, right there. The consumers will set the price limits. Just because an item is listed for 25 million doesn't mean that it's selling for 25 million, just that the poster of the item got all teary eyed at the best piece of gear he ever saw, and got carried away with the 0s.

It's not like there's a competition to see who has the most credits in the game. And to be honest when you stop playing your credits just stay there. Congratulations you sold many overpriced things and made 1 billion creds. Now you left the game but the person who continues to play the game and bought things from you could have used some of those creds on something else.

Just trying to say reasonable prices would be good. Dreadforged relics are rare yes but now that they are no longer rare and any crafter can make them why offer them at such high prices? 25 million?

How is suggesting a limit to prices selfish but asking 25 million is not?
I bet you'd argue that you should be able to buy a new Lamborghini for $50,000 too.

Grow up.

Well, yeah, but my long answer was more snarky.

Ofcourse we need a limit, greed can go so much.

Think the upper limit should be according to GTN pricing, asking for exorbitant prices its fraud.

what

Anyway we do not need a limit, here is what happens with a limit: the guys who really do have a bunch of credits will buy preactically the entire gtn, every rare item posted will be snatched up easily so it will not give some a chance to even get to see the posting, and the in game economy will be screwed. Let it continue to be a free market. Besides, price is regulated by what people want to pay for something, and then the sellers offer prices lower than their competitors, and so on and so forth so stuff becomes affordable.

I never trust the incompetence of people, maybe its right not to have a cap.

A free market autoregulates because at some point people start demanding fair prices.
