Well, Anarchy Online (a sci-fi MMO predating WoW) definately had swimming and also cooking ingredients at least (although no cooking skill per se). In fact maxing out swimming was seen as the ultimate noob declarance and continues to be a running gag in that community.

It still misses fishing even today (yes there are still people playing it after what 13 years now?).

See ya on the chronostream, time jockey!
Shoot straight. Conserve ammo. And never, EVER cut a deal with a dragon.
You can use my referral link for a preferred friend bundle if you want to try SWTOR out.

Swg had cooking and swimming didn't it? Wildstar has all of them doesn't it? If those two have them and Anarchy online had them then youre kind of running out of examples of sci-fi mmos that don't have those features.

Seeker Droid = Fishing

Biochem = Cooking

Running through water = Swimming

Looks like they are all covered just fine, they just don't look like what other MMO's (in other words, WoW) look like.

If you needed clarification, you could simply ask. They were bullet points of my opinion on what the foundation should be, not gospel...although they should be.

The Seeker Droid is actually a damn good alternative to "fishing" since "fishing" would make no sense in this MMO.
