And I'd hate to think it'd take another mass exodus to convince the board of directors at BW/EA out this fact.
Not at all. 1-50 was awesome on most of the characters the first time through. The stories were all good at worst and one was astounding.

Faction stories being the direction isn't working? If you look at the initial exodus two years ago, the complaints at the time weren't that people had finished all the class stories. They hadn't. They didn't have time to. They leveled one character, consumed endgame, and that was that.

After that initial exodus, the game has been growing in content, players, and revenue. All with the same faction based stories we've had since Ilum.

If there is another large exodus brewing, I don't think it will be over the notion that class stories ended before Ilum. It might be lack of attention to PvP. It might be lack of new PvE content. But it won't be because BioWare delivered a good, BioWare style story that didn't have the "class" adjective attached to it.

Are you sure, because I thought one of the reasons they gave (amongst many reasons) for the shift in focus to Faction stories from class stories was making it easier for players to team together.

As a side note, one of the things they have been mentioning is trying to interject class into the stories a bit more, things like having you recognized more, instead of the current vague hints that you are a VIP, and maybe even some class specific dialogue.

I just want to say, there are those here that tell us we're beating a dead horse or this is the billion topic created revolving class story, yet did you see the amount of posts in this topic, do you see the numbers of pages?
That shows players want more of it, that shows players are interested in their classes stories, Bioware how many topics have been made about planetary quest stories, how many posts? I hope, if any of the devs read this, that this kind of topic will make them rethink their PVE strategy of "same stories for everyone!", we don't want those, we want the continuity of our class stories.

Don't mistake a number of posts or number of threads for a majority. To figure out what the majority wants, first you have to find a way to poll the population.

Otherwise put, if 1% of players are interested in something, that's not really a good business driver to do that thing.

Neither you or I know who's a majority or a minority, but you know what I've learned from all those years of internet warrioring? The louder you voice your opinion the more chances somebody important reads it.

They've read it. They know that some number of players are all wrapped around the adjective, "class", instead of the more important adjective, "good".

And yet, what is the big focus of the upcoming patches? Player housing, which in general in an MMO, is distinctly not group focused.

I became interested in, bought, played, and continue to play this game for one primary reason - the eight distinct stories we got. The fourth pillar is what keeps me subscribed at this point in time (with two subbed accounts), and have no intention of unsubbing at this point, because I am still enjoying the content. However, when I finish the storylines with all of my characters and reach max level, that may be a different story if there is not some continuation of the individual stories that this game has done so well. Unlike others, I am OK if each addition to those stories is only a % of the size of the originals. I wouldn't expect a full expansion sized edition. I would be perfectly happy with 25% of a chapter every 6 months or a year because there is still a lot of other repeatable content to enjoy and I am not a content locust.

However, in the end, if the game fails to continue to deliver on the main reason I play the game, then yes, I will eventually unsub and spend that money on something else that is more fulfilling to my needs.

1) there never has been and never will be "unanimous consent" about anything in an MMO gaming forum. There will always be disagreement.

2) I don't have an issue with him using the term "we", only the context in which he used it. I was very clear about this in my earlier posts..... players should post for themselves on their views/opinions, agreements/disagreements on their own merit personally. It's both poor conversation style and lacking in any objectivity to preface a thread topic on "we, the players". It does however make for good dramatic performance.
