After doing an exstensive amount of PVP I can honestly say at this point SWTOR is much better. Wildstar is to impersonal to feel like you're actually engaged in a PVP battle. The PVP plays more like a FPS than an MMO. I will render my final judgment once I play a fully leveled character. But as it stands now, SWTOR is the better game. And I really wanted Wildstar to be better but it's not. I'm disappointed a little.

With Wildstar launching with everything and more that swtor should have launched with. I can definitely see it taking a big big chunk out. Arenas at launch. 40v40 Warplots. 40 man raids. 20 man raids. Insanely in depth housing.

I love swtor and was a sub from the very beginning of the game but my love of the game has faltered off.

Not even to mention Wildstar will have attunement quests again for raids. Already has rougher dungeons than the hard mode raids in this game. People who want challenge will flock to Wildstar

Its things like that which make me worry about how fun the combat will remain. Also...8 action bar slots...bleh.
Funny thing with the CC. You will always be stunned for atleast half the duration of the CC no matter how fast you can spam that key. There is a failsafe inside the breakout system.

There is still excessive amounts of stun and knock back in WS pvp. I die mostly stunned even if i spam "break the stun" key as fast as possible. My little boy loved the game with all bright colors ,jumping around and characters he used to see in cartoon channel. He's still asking for me to play WS after the weekend. I'm having hard time to tell him it was a beta weekend because he's 6 years old.

Things i liked about WS is cross server and personal elo rating in regular warzones. Beside that its a standart mmo with better graphics than GW2.

Breaking point for me was limited skill sets (choosing 8 of abilities to use ). It took active decision making away from game and made it more like a jumping to right direction to avoid incoming attacks. All attacks needs to be aimed and enemy player should stay in that area of effect . I didnt play healer but it seems healing is the same as i understand from advice chat. People were asking continously how to target a player to heal them. It caters to different tastes , people may like aiming and firing , hoping a player to stay in the damage area , playing with 8 abilities. I'm not in that group , i like to choose my attack in current situation from every skill i have. WS requires different skills to be succesfull, its more about movement , less about decisions.

I'll be playing WS bacause its a good mmo , have different taste in pvp, crafting and housing seems interesting , better than most mmos launched in last years. But still SWTOR is unique in lots of ways for me and staying as my main game.

It's better than getting face stunned for 10 seconds being able to do nothing i'd say.
Way better than what you got in this game.

Resolve is one of the worst mechanics i have ever seen to counter excessive crowd control.
Diminish at WoW was far better than this, in any way.
Wildstar has the best anti-CC mechanic i have ever seen, which is being able to pick your weapon when you are disarmed, tap this when you are stunned, black screen when you are blinded, controls switching randomly if you are disoriented and more.

I truly think SWTOR has to get ideas from them.

Not getting all the ESO hate, it's really quite good actually, reminiscent of both TES games in gameplay and Dark Age of Camelot in PVP mechanics and tone. But perhaps the fantasy setting will prevent it from competing too directly with the sci-fi SWTOR.
This is mostly true (except for that ESO is good). ESO will impact SWTOR because SWTOR attracts people that are into story, first person stuff, exploration, etc. SWTOR doesn't have much of the Wildstar crowd playing it, meaning skilled raiders. Wildstar is meant for the good players, and there just aren't that many playing SWTOR because it's such a half-polished raiding game and has been since launch. If there are any good players actually still playing this, they won't be for much longer.
I'm not arrogant. I'm just aware of my greatness.

+1 This pretty much sums it up. Having experienced the 20 man in Wildstar. No experience in swtor raids could ever compare to it. Hell the veteran dungeons are on par with Hard mode raids in this game in terms of mechanics.

You are correct that ESO will draw the more story and lore driven crowd into their game.
