in the generic sense, MUDs were the first MMOs, they were released in the late 80's early 90's.
The first graphical mmos? I believe UO was one of the first, being mid 90's. It was the most successful one until WoW was release at any rate (subscriber-wise anyway). That damn mmo had everything but a decent pvp system, though if you were a lone pvper, you could rock that game. sandbox mmos were so cool back then.

Only MMO that is tickling my fancy is Tom Clancy's The Division...Game looks unreal. Until then, maybe play Wildstar but I doubt I will. More so keep in touch with everyone via PoT5's facebook group and get caught up in games I want to play on steam. Also with summer coming up I hope to not be around much anyways.

My sub ends today i move to neverwinter until the repopulation launched. Ya ..neverwinter ...a complete free game but ..with 20v20 pvp and plus now the new Icewind Dale expansion launch, they will add factions also ..Luscan and Ten towns. As beta didn't bother so much but now after near a year they have add so many things ...
At least forgotten realms and star wars worlds is the only I have stuck so much, more than 23 years

20v20 PvP in Neverwinter happens like 4 times a day and has a pretty limited queue. PvP is not the selling point of Neverwinter.

We'll see what the open world PvP will be like when they release Module 3.

Unfortunately the comparison is with the year ago period Nov-Jan, which I suspect itself was a low point for subscriptions since it was just prior to RotHC. The next report should cover the Feb-Apr period, and begin to give a glimpse of how much retention we've had since RotHC which came at the beginning of April.

ty that 16% drop is scary to many of them and we will log one day to "all servers are down there is no further info at this time"

SWTOR is Kotor 3 on a much larger scale. So once you accept that fact, your over-all game experience will improve greatly...
