Official Petition: Please DO NOT create another tier of PvP gear for 2.7

Precisely - it's not about the time/effort required for the grind.

It's about grinding for the sake of grinding - for no reason whatsoever and nothing to look forward to.

Oh no! spending a fake in-game currency! that's what it's there for..

I thought everyones gripe was that Berserker isn't far enough ahead stat wise when compared to Obroan to warrant a new tier. You clearly feel that you'll be at a significant disadvantage if you don't have Berserker.

Again.. everyone keeps complaining about THE GRIND. THE DREADED GRIND. New tier or not, you'd be queuing for warzones and getting commendations. Spend the commendations on the new gear. Unless you like to horde your commendations like you apparently do your credits.

You pretty much said earlier that the Berserker gear ISN'T useless because you'd be forced to use PvE gear (for some reason) until you had the commendations to get the Berserker stuff.

I guess it's your lucky day because you get BOTH! You get new gear and (possibly, rating dependent) a RANCOR MOUNT!

The only thing I see is a completionist who is upset they're going to have to get new gear to be complete again.

You're "grinding" RIGHT NOW. Every warzone you queue up for is apparently a grind because as I've said before in other replies, you'd be queuing for warzones ANYWAY and would be getting commendations for those warzones. With this new tier, suddenly queuing for warzones and getting commendations is dubbed A GRIND.

The art team really went out of their way for the next tier. But dat cartel market doh.

Let's try this again,

It doesn't matter how much I play or don't play. The rewards for time are subpar at best, and its only compounded by unneeded resets that add more stat deltas.

I am glad you are ok with the fake carrot, but understand these are not or ever have been proper rewards for time in WZs. People constantly say, well this is a MMO, but maybe MMO PvP has failed because once you introduce stat differences in PVP, you lose a ton of credibility from the competitve side. Add in that since 2.0 every gear reset has moved the previous set of PvP gear to third best because of bolster, and you have what we have here.

Do you understand bolster nullifies whatever PvP gear you are wearing at every gear reset? Maybe not, but its true. Once you start having PvP gear nullified, then stats start to vary, and when they do, quality of WZ start to decline.

Remember? This already happened. And they still haven't addressed raid gear in WZs and PvP gear being OP as hell in OW. This is why you can't just brush this **** under the rug and say, be happy.

Adding more gear is doing more harm than good. You are a enabling the devs to continue doing this and are contributing to the demise of this arena.

Meanwhile, EA says: They're sheep, mere sheep.
Result: Add another useless grind.

The SWTOR team has never, ever implemented a pvp change as a result of a petition made in the forums.

And this is exactly the problem and the reason why so many good PVPers quit this game.

i'd much rather be able to pvp on my characters i like to play on than have them all reset back to useless every 4 months or so.

same old warzones over and over and over and the updates and resets are coming now much faster than i have interest in the grind
