WoW also has millions of players with cross server pvp. So you don't have to wait 10-20-30 minutes for a q to pop. Which makes it fast and easy to grind gear. Also in WoW you don't get farmed by the same group over and over and over again, You face new teams and their Matchmaking actually works. Imagine that!!!

They introduced a number of PvE sets to the game based on the Skimped Male thread, even using a number of designs in said thread, and other armors based on suggestions as well. Clearly though, it's based on what the team in charge chooses to do.

I said in another thread that I saw before this one that the new grind seems unnecessary at this point, especially when you have a number of characters and for some need more than one set. I have to say further that it is pretty sad that their isn't even a new design being introduced with the new tier when as others have noted there are new Cartel pieces coming left and right.

I understand that PvP is a smaller niche, but part of that is because even though there exists only PvE and PvP content in this game, PvP is often treated as a third class part of the player base and viewed as of little importance in many regards. While a game can't just cater to the loudest group, the fact that subscribing players take the time to reply here should make what is said of note to the Devs. Clearly not everyone can be pleased but players should feel like there is effort being put into "additions" to the game and I don't see how that's the case here. The only people who will be able to benefit from any higher level gear are saying in general that they do not see any benefit and feel slighted by the lack of cosmetic changes on top of little boost to stats.

If the policy will continue to be ignoring what is said by those in this part of the community then I see little point to the forums themselves. Community concerns do need to be addressed to have a functioning, enjoyable game.

It is saying something that cosmetic additions--alongside reskins to be fair--are a much more prevalent part of content roll out for the Cartel Market as the game goes on and less and less a part of what can be earned in game. PvE gear additions only come in with new content, where as the CM gets new flair far more often. Guess that's just what this game has become.

I would suggest making use of the Valour Ranking System. Past valour 40, at current, there is no real point to gaining levels in valour (except titles). However my ideal system would be for every 10 valour ranks you get a discount at the vendor. This would ensure veteran player are not held at the same gear as new players and rewards players for continual WZ use. All whilst ensuring the gear remains accessible to all.

Thoughts?

A new set this soon does seem excessive. Especially if it's not a new skin as that just makes it feel even more of a grind. However it is an MMO so I respect the need for it to continue evolving. Just prefer it didn’t so often lol.
Basically I would like to see rewards for those who already have the previous set when acquiring the new set. Obviously you don't need to farm basic coms but I feel the collection of ranked coms should be reduced somehow for those players that already have a complete set.

The whining stops when the gear reset is moved back to a later update such as 2.8 or later...

Me and most of my friends are full Obroan since january, so yes, I want that gear with 2.7, if you have problem with new tier of gear every 6 months, go play something else...
