I would like to hear you guys' opinions on what exactly is wrong with the class balance in this game.

I will be making a list, and I will repost this on the Operations board to get as many entries as possible also from PvE players. Entries from both threads will be synced with eachother and duplicate entries will be skipped.

Keep it short, I don't need you to write 200 words to say that gunslingers need more survivability.

If you think so, just post and write this:

Gunslinger - PvE - Lacking DPS
Marauder/Juggernaught - PvP - Smash should hit harder
General - PvP - AoE CC needs a buff

Now lets get some heads together and see what we have. I want to get a "map" basically of everything that is wrong with balance right now. I'll start:


General
PvP - AoE CC needs a nerf
Universal - Bump all ranged dps to 35m range
Universal - All Warriors/Knights - Force Charge(Leap) is bugging out often, did not happen before 1.6(?)


Shadow/Assassin
PvP - Madness(Balance) could use a survivability buff
PvP - Deception(Infiltration) could have a slight nerf to burst
PvP - Retarded middle tree hybrids
PvE - Deception(Infiltration) needs more DPS
PvE - Madness(Balance) could use more DPS if Deception(Infiltration) gets buffed, too

Sage/Sorcerer
PvP - Could use more healing under pressure


Sentinel/Marauder
PvP - Smash needs toning down


Guardian/Juggernaught
PvP - Smash needs toning down
PvP - Survivability buff needed for the DPS specs
PvP - Vengeance(Vigilance) could use a little more burst maybe (PTS)
PvE - Immortal(Defense) needs a threat regen buff, maybe DPS with it


Scoundrel/Operative
PvP - Concealment(Scrapper) needs more survivability
PvE - (DPS Specs) Increase survivability against attacks that hit very hard in a short burst
PvE - Concealment(Scrapper) single target DPS needs to be toned down
Universal - Concealment(Scrapper) Frontal Backstab(Backblast)



Gunslinger/Sniper


Vanguard/Powertech
PvE - Shield Tech(Specialist) needs one more definitive %-based cooldown
Universal - Could use a DPS buff


Commando/Mercinary
PvP - Bodyguard(Combat Medic) needs more healing under pressure
PvE - Pyrotech(Assault) needs a slight nerf
Universal - Arsenal(Gunnery) could use a DPS buff

General
PvP - AoE CC needs remove
PVP - Stuns and Roots - need time immune after using
PVP - Resolve - remove
PVP - to many CC

Shadow/Assassin
PvP - remove taking hide in battle, remove hide cc


Sade/Sorc
PVP - Heal: some protection to interrupt, more survival
PVP - DPS: nerf


Sentinel/Marauder
PvP - nerf, too big survival, to big dps


Guardian/Juggernaught
PvP - nerf, too big survival, to big dps

Scoundrel/Operat
PVP - the same as Shadow/Assasin


Gunslinger/Sniper
PVP - nerf dps


Vanguard/Powertech
PVP - remove hold the line
DPS: to big survival, nerf


Commando/Mercinary
PVP - more and more survrval, some protection for interrupt,
HEAL: reduce pushback heals ability, reduce time to cast heals ability, Bacta infussion reduce cooldown to 5 sec
Sant - Commando Healer
Tnas - Scoundrel Healer

Only real problem I can think of with class balance (I'm thinking is post 2.7 patch notes, mind you) is the godmode for snipers and not losing entrench's timer when leaving cover. Smash might be getting hit a tad too hard but I don't play it so I can't really be sure on that, other than that it seems like things are going in the right direction.

Most of theise things are small work. The game as it is is in a pretty good state to be honest, it just needs a few tweaks. What we have so far is not a lot at all.

General
PvP - AoE CC needs toned down, restrict to soft targets with little defenses and melee with very limited range (mezz only)
PVP - Stuns and Roots - D/R system similar to resolve needs to be implemented (but much better)
PVP - Resolve - rework (revert changes so that use of CC is more stategic).


Shadow/Assassin
PvP - Remove reduced CD on wrecklessness when exiting combat, instead add critical chance increase into the tree (or just make crit more valuable). rework phase walk so that it more useful in the fray and less LOL at guarding objectives.
General - Fix shroud, increase sustained dps, FIX MADNESS/BALANCE.

Sade/Sorc
PVP - Increase kiting tools, increase dps/healing while moving or decrease cast times, fix force management issues for both healing and madness/balance, Remove force barrier and implement a proper DCD that does not stun (short term change: allow the sage/sorc to use barrier while electro netted)
General: Remove pushback from all abilities, slight increase in DPS for TK/LT to make it more competitive in pve.

Sentinel/Marauder
PvP - Reduce Damage in focus/rage on Smash/Sweep - reverse changes to undying/GBTF, reduced rage/focus generation in rage/focus when mara/sent pops beserk/zen, add small rage generation in the other two trees. Change anni dots to force based, when anni dots are cleansed heal the mara/sent for a set % of their health and buff rage generation for X amount of time. Carnage: Increase damage done without gore, reduce damage done under gore (or just leave it alone and increase rage/focus generation so that carnage/combat is not spamming their basic attack often)

Remove baked in slows attached to dps attacks, remove interrupt from leap.


Guardian/Juggernaught
PvP - Increase defenses in middle tree, do not nerf rage/focus tree at all but do not buff defenses in this tree (melee glass cannon).

Remove interrupt from leap unless the guardian/jugg is in Soresu.

Scoundrel/Operat
PVP - No nerfs to healing tree, they are in a good spot (queue up the QQ train on this one). Decrease damage of concealment slightly, increase survivalbility of both dps trees by adding slightly higher passive DR in concealment, and an extra cooldown in both trees - keep the knockdown, but have the standing up animation start as soon as you the enemy is knocked down so that their is no "delay" (even mentally) from getting up.



Gunslinger/Sniper
General: Make roll not look like a teleport, fix roll bang, otherwise no buffs or nerfs.

Vanguard/Powertech
PVP - Remove hold the line, decrease flame burst to melee range, replace grapple hook with leap, change aoe taunt to match shadows/guardians, remove baked in slows attached to dps attacks.


Commando/Mercinary
PVP - No immediate changes for healers, the recent buff was solid (they may need more, but let's see what 2.7 brings). Rework electronet to be a better DCD and less powerful offensive cooldown.

I admit to not being very knowledge about commandos/mercs, so my comments are based entirely on playing against and with them.

Why are you repeating what is already in the OP..

Most of this is duplicate, and if it isn't i cant work with it.

I told you to keep it simple. Then keep it simple. I don't want to hear solutions or details, just problems.
