Yes, that's the oddest part.

Really, it's not that big a deal to me one way or the other. But between the two options, I go for the one which allows more choice, i.e., make a rancor mount of one kind or another available via different methods, like they did with tauntauns. If, as I said. the PvP rancor is brown and non PvP rancors are different colors, well then the only way to get a brown rancor is via PvP. What's the big deal? Get your (whoever you may be) brown PvP rancor and be that special PvP snowflake.

It's only odd if you're unable to put yourself into the shoes of PVPers.

As someone else said, this is the first time that the PVPers have really gotten something all to their own and I'm happy for them. More to the point, I think it's only fair that they get the chance to earn a really desired mount by excelling at the hardest content that they're playing in. Especially since PVEers have had 'several' mounts that only drop from the hardest PVE content.

..and your comparisons are not equal. Those mounts can be gotten by anyone and at any time, not a one time gift to only the very best. Far as I know, PVE doesn't have any mounts that only went to the first 10 groups to clear NiM anything.
Lol! Ok... so my apologies in advance but... your response isn't even reasonable. It is a load of crap. But don't worry I'll be brief.

Your first argument is utility? LOL! What are you talking about? Utility has nothing to do with it. All mounts do the same thing, get you to point A to point B. You don't have to be in a PvE phase to use them.

As for RP? LOL! Wow... don't even know how to respond to that one. You want to come up with back story for your speeder? Ok. Do it. A Rancor mount or lack of one shouldn't stop you. Be honest... this isn't about RP.

And this is a fair comparison because every one of the mounts listed is PvE specific. Some are easier to get than others but you have to PvE. So... if you want the Rancor mount, go compete in PvP. It is that simple. If you aren't good enough to get it, try harder. You are going to have to work for it.

I haven't forgotten about those, hence the part in red
PvErs almost all special snowflake mounts is still double PvPers special snowflake mounts.

And as stated numerous times, they are welcome to their PvP differentiated rancor mount. As someone else posted (either in this thread or the other one), anyone who thinks EA is not going to take financial advantage of the popularity of a rancor mount is hopelessly naive.

I don't think anyone's said otherwise, but then people often read into posts what they want to read.

All the same, I wouldn't expect to see a Rancor in the CM for a very long while, probably somewhere closer to the end of the year.

"Otherwise" meaning what? There are plenty of people who have posted they think the only available rancor mount should be the PvP one. I don't , however, recall those people adding that they think it will (or won't) be the only one,

All the same to me.

Yes! Exactly! Sure, anyone "can" get a PvE mount to drop. Guess what? Not everyone is good enough to complete NiMs. Just like not everyone is good enough to hit 1500 in PvP. The two examples are exactly the same.

Really not sure why there's so much screaming over PvPers having one exclusive mount; one. Yes, some people are keeping it calm, but some people are getting more than silly about it. On top of that, why do we need multiple threads on the topic with all a rehash of the same thing?

Because that's what the community does on these forums? If the community ends up being up in arms over a topic, you can guarantee about five threads being created and reaching 200 posts minimum on the subject.
