a mini-rancor that roars and then dies and has to be resummoned.

I'm all for letting the mount be PvP exclusive, but we do not need to force players to play PvP.
People will simply join the match and stand there because they don't like playing PvP but "have to" to get this or that, and that is not a good idea.
If they do that, they will die quick and never earn the rating necessary to get the good rewards.

Luck? Nope. It showed everyone that person participated in the event.

Personally I didn't get the bowcaster since my dad died right around that time so I didn't participate in the event.
Nobody cares.

Are you seriously going to sit there and tell me that I don't deserve a bowcaster because I tended to the funeral arrangements of my fater instead of doing this one-time event?
Ok now you're attention seeking

Quote:
I don't mind them being added through the CM, but since there are other ways of getting bowcasters (rep grind) it also means that you can earn them the old fashioned way.
Then I'm sure you won't mind a reskinned rancor mount being added to the CM, considering the bowcasters were added to the CM.

I bet you were one of those people who named people "special snowflakes" because they didn't want the bowcaster to be brought back.

Double standards

I'd like to point you to this, this and this mount that are only available to NiM PvE players and something that people who only PvP will never have access to.
Actually you're wrong. People who PVP will always have access to those items. People who PVE may not have access to the mounts when season 1 ends.

I haven't forgotten about those, hence the part in red
Not good enough OP. Let see...

1. Helix Hyperpod (NiM TFB)
2. Avalanche Heavy Tank (NiM EC)
3. Titan 6 Containment Vehicle (NiM SnV)
4. Dessler Turbo (HM/NiM KP)
5. Dessler Avenger (HM/NiM EV)
6. Dessler Nomad (Level 55 HMs)
7. Dessler Explorer (CZ-198 Mob)

Yes, relative to all that is offered by the CM this is a small number, but considering that the mounts listed are not available in any way other than PvE, and that PvP have ZERO, I don't think your "watered down" argument holds water.

PvP getting the Rancor exclusive is fair. I hope they keep Rancors a non-cartel exclusive like the entire Dessler line.

PVP have zero? What about http://swtormounts.com/hoverbikes/longspur-recon? 1500 warzone commendations.

Also they probably will put it on the CM anyway...you know...money

No. What we are talking about mounts that don't have a recolor on the CM and therefore exclusive. There are plenty of Lonspurs on the CM.

No Desslers on the CM yet and they have been out almost since launch.

First, as far as I'm concerned, you guys can them all. Second, we get mounts in PVE because we actually go places where you can use them. Having a Rancor sit on top of the PVP mission box is a damn waste of something that people have been waiting for who use mounts for things like RP and such.

..and your comparisons are not equal. Those mounts can be gotten by anyone and at any time, not a one time gift to only the very best. Far as I know, PVE doesn't have any mounts that only went to the first 10 groups to clear NiM anything.

So who gets to restrict the meaning of "exclusive?" You? I have a GSI pleasure speeder on one of my characters. It's pretty exclusive, even though it's a reskin of a common mount type.

If the PvP rancor is brown and the hypothetical CM rancor is green, the brown one is exclusive to PvP.

People seeking to validate their self worth via computer game swag have some issues they need to deal with and they are certainly not emotionally mature enough to be playing games with others. But we can't stop them.

Apparently PVP players and people who claim they aren't but for some reason would throw their mom under the bus for this to remain PVP only.

Nothing out of sorts here.

Completely agree.
