When you imply that someone shares psychological traits with a sociopathic mass murderer for disagreeing with you on a message board, you have sort of left intellectual credibility somewhere south of Pluto.

No one disagreed with me, at least that I saw. I continued a discussion with someone that had nothing to do with anything but our convo on the psychology of Interwebs players. Perhaps my posts are TL;DR causing people to simply not read them before attacking them. Wouldn't be the first time, and frankly I'm used to it by now.

Anyway, the assumption that criticizing a game is synonymous with deriving pleasure from taking the offensive against perceived threats to submissiveness was all yours. But that's between you and your conscience.

They perceive themselves in your descriptions, thus they see an attack upon themselves.

Which internally recycles their obsession with beating others down. If it's forum PvP wins they want, they can have them as far as I'm concerned. The more time they waste playing narcissistic gods in here, the less time they're spending in the game disrupting things. And in-game play is why I pay my 43¢ a day.

Yeah, I played EQ1. I would never go back in a million years.
i think you need to find out what a sandbox MMO actually is. he is not asking for TOR to be a sandbox game. Sandbox refers to leveling and changing the terrain i.e. player hosing. that is not what he is asking for. is is asking to make the planets bigger and the ability to roam around and swim to places.. completely different from making it sandbox

Here you go, since you seem confused: http://www.techopedia.com/definition...sandbox-gaming
you are focusing on the wrong part of your definition of sandbox. by your definition wow is a sandbox game and it isnt. sandbox refers to the leveling and changing the terrain not just open world.

Whew. For a minute there I thought you might be one of the obsessive compulsives who follow people around and attempt to goad them into personal attacks for the sole purpose of "telling on them".

I'm glad you are totally not one of those people!

No kidding.

People have gotten confused about what sandbox and themepark really mean. The better terms to use would be "freeform" and "linear".

You are either just trolling or you have no idea how silly it sounds to say you are "killing time' in a game while waiting for yet another conceptually identical game to come out.

2 months after the games you are seemingly so sure will be great go live, you'll be "killing time" in them waiting for EQNN and/or ESO^3 and/or Wilder Star and/or Starry, Starry Night Citizen to come out.

Of course it does, now tell me how you manage to swing WOW into that. You cannot level by just randomly wandering into any zone (as you can with Skyrim), you have to go through a fairly specific (though not as linear as SWTOR) path.
