What possible harm could it cause to appeal to a wider market?
What "wider market" is this? Old timers who harken back to the bad old days of EQ1? UO? EVE players do not want to play TOR.

It's a pointless argument anyway... TOR already has sandbox elements and will get more of them, because they sell and themepark ones don't.
That explains the utter failure of theme park MMOs.

Admitting that "sandbox elements" would be good in TOR would be acknowledging that something with TOR is not perfection. This does not jive with the party line.
... in reference to the party line this post just invented of course.

Doesn't have to be perfect. just has to be good enough to play. Everyone posting here by definition considers TOR good enough not only to play, but to pay to play (unless they are recently unsubscribed).

There is not one game ever made that can ever be pigeonholed as either a 100% Sandbox or Themepark game. I know that confuses your black/white absolutist reality, but it is true.

Similarly, there isn't a single person in the world who would object to the inclusion of either element in their chosen game, yourself excluded apparently.

Probably not. But remember, whether an element is "sand box" or not is purely a matter of opinion. Is being able to dye armor "sand box?" Some would say yes, others would say no.

It's a matter of prioritizing development resources.

They want the world to believe that fans of the game consider it so perfect that they are hurt by criticism of it. In essence, they are trying to publicly fabricate enemies to justify their attacks. In reality no enemy exists except between their own ears.

To think they can own a room full of people just as fake as their avatars is simply delusional. Supporters of the game couldn't care less about their criticism. What they take exception to are derogatory fabrications being painted as fact, and then being reported for bringing it up. Merely a personal observation.

What possesses people to spend entire days in this place trying to make a game and its followers look stupid? Do they wake up in the morning, look in a mirror, paint up their faces and practice? I don't get it.

They want the world to believe that critics of the game consider it so terrible that they are hurt by support of it. What possesses people to spend entire days in this place trying to make their fellow players look stupid? Do they wake up in the morning, look in a mirror, paint up their faces and practice? I don't get it.

With imitation being the sincerest form of flattery and all ... thank you!

If you have a problem with "Marketing Propaganda" you shouldn't go outside or watch a television.

Good luck.

How has your time in game been, you know, since you came back?

I think you got that right. To some, anything less than constantly whining about the game and pointing out its flaws means "biodrone."
