I disagree that it forces you to PVP. In fact you can just run around w/o ever seeing someone in Cryodiil. Heck I farmed a ton of mats (Ebony Ore/Threads) I couldn't use just to see how it would go once live.

And for the record... I HATE PVP... Mostly cause BW can't get its crap straight for Sorc Healers in PVP, but in general PVP. I played several ESO Beta's and got into the whole PVP thing. Was pretty cool seeing around 100 players on the field at a time and NO LAG... who would have thought that was possible.

I'm going to jump out of SWTOR for a bit to test it out, but you never know. Still like playing my SORC HEALS, but apparently BW doesn't. Crafting in ESO has me SOLD as it's far better than the copycat RE process we have for our crafting in SWTOR (Master Craftsman BTW).

If you've had troubles getting a chance to try ESO, you probably haven't tried very hard for very long. And I would say the reviews have started to turn more positive over time. A lot of that has to do with people finally trying the PvP.

I haven't seen many people hyping eso, definitely not like they were hyping and getting over excited for gw2.

And just so you know, when you lose a large chunk of "Forum whiners" you probably lost a much bigger chunk of your player base.

Any game that forces its players to go through PVP is terrible and bad.

I totally agree with Technohic on this one. Many of the reviewers have stated "I didn't get to level 10 or Cryodiil, but I think the games sucks..." and they are now starting to come around now they have been given limited access to test and such (Plus the BETA NDA got lifted). The crown jewel is the PVP I think, but some of the PVE end game raiding was not open in the last 3 BETA's so I'm still very interested in those. I managed to get to level 19 and unable to progress (Last BETA let you use an existing toon).

So i played skyrim for about 10 hours and found it to be a very boring game. I also have not seen many good reviews of the beta. Also why did they have to copy GW2's world pvp? World pvp in GW2 is a zergfest. When will devs understand world pvp is dead , sense it only promotes zerg playstyle no matter how they set it up. PVP needs to be on a smaller scale like 20 v 20.

Another thing that bugs alot of people is you have to buy the 80$ package to get the empire race and preorders allow any race to go to any alliance. The quest setup is also 20 years out of date , like swtor. GW2 questing should be copied by all mmo's. So i will be waiting for the next big mmo , this one will be free to play within one year.
The sheer size of Cyrodil and the number of objectives allows for more than just "zerg" PvP. If you like 20v20 then limit your ops to 5 teams of 4 and hit farms and mines. If the zerg heads your way then you pick up and move, then hit some place else. You can gank reinforcements on the roads or burn forward camps. You can pick off the players who are too slow or too dumb to stick with the main group. You can counter the other skirmish groups doing the same thing to your faction. There are an infinite number of ways to enjoy world PvP that don't involve moving in one giant blob -- you just can't be a mouth-breathing mongo.

"Go through PvP." LOL! How bad were you traumatized by your last experience?

Also, you aren't forced to PvP in ESO. Try again.

Sure you are. It's been stated many times, and confirmed by beta testers that you have to go through a forced-pvp area to level up. No choice. No other option. You 'have' to do it.

So, people who don't like getting ganked should avoid ESO.

He is saying that the game will have you go to zones that will flag you for PVP. So no PVE servers, which will limit it to only players cool with that.
