Yep, this just happened to me twice in a row. Completely unacceptable to spend all that time going through an instance only to get zero credit. There is no excuse for a bug this disruptive continuing to exist for this long in a high-budget game.

(actually i'm running the game at high/very high graphics with my brand new Alienware17, i7, 16gb RAM, 3gb dedicated video card, bla bla bla... and i still have the same FPS lag at Tython that i used to have at the game's launch)

PLEASE Bioware or whoelse is responsible for this, LISTEN to your players and FIX THINGS. I used to love all Bioware games and i love Star Wars Universe, but this can't continue this way.
Learn from Star Wars Galaxies, was a success even in your last momenst, bring his space combat and free space travel to SW:ToR and we maybe have a cool push up.

p.s.: In two years, i've never experienced something like this flashpoints problem, but now i'm having. Esseless and Black Talon...
Sad.
Signed. Fix this bug. Convinced a friend of mine to return to swtor. We did esseles. We both crashed. This is ridiculous.

Its 2 instances guys that you dont really need to do. Plus, if it was an easy fix, it would have been done LONG ago. Like i said, no other instances have this issue so its undoubtedly a problem with the game engine code. Possibly with the instance transfer.

Remember, in all other flaspoints, theres one entrance, one exit. In these 2, theres 1 entrance, 2 exits.

This is exactly the sort of idiotic attitude that allows Bioware to get away with bugs like this. It doesn't matter if it's a flashpoint "that you dont really need to do". I pay a subscription, and I expect ALL content to work, regardless of how useful you might find it.

"if it was an easy fix, it would have been done LONG ago". This is, again, ridiculous. If Bioware cannot fix their own damn game, why in gods name are they still working on it? This is the VERY FIRST FLASHPOINT people experience, and there's a huge bug in it. If I was a new player, I'd already be having doubts about whether or not I want to continue playing.

The sad thing is these are the players that Bioware listen to.

Easy fix in my view would be to remove the hyperspace jumps until they work it out... last I looked at this it appeared to be a C++ error that was appearing for those affected.

Exactly right. I work in the quality assurance and testing discipline, often for game companies, and I can tell you that simply accepting bugs -- particularly long-standing ones -- is not the way to go about it.

The idea that "if this was an easy fix it would have been done long ago" is one that is an assumption. It may be right, it may be wrong. The fact is,in my career, I've seen many, many bugs that were relatively easy to fix live on for years and years. It was a matter of there always being something else to fix.

There are good and bad ways to present information to companies about their bugs, of course, but settling for bugs on the assumption that "it's probably just too hard to fix" is very rarely a reliable response. In all honesty, this is one of those things that Bioware should just address in a more substantive way. Even if the answer is not to most people's liking, it's often the total lack of acknowledgement that pisses people off. (Anyone who has done customer support knows that feeling. Customers can ultimately handle bad news but they don't take kindly to being routinely ignored.)

This is for real a bug that has existed and been known for 2 years running? Honestly how could anyone in their right might argue that EA shouldn't be awarded worst company in America 3 years in a row? If these lazy bastards were ever dumb enough to allow ranked arenas for f2p, my sub would be gone in a heartbeat.

2 years. no fix. no caring. no wonder.

And the fix is so simple. Just have credit for the flashpoint be awarded after the boss fight. No one wants to be forced to go to the fleet or DK anyways. Honestly who the **** is in charge of this sort thing? Is BioWare a ghost company that only pretends to exist so EA can dodge at least some of the blame for not giving a ****? Answer: Nope, they're all just really bad at their jobs.

I think it's absolutely pathetic that this bug still exists after all this time. This is most players' first introduction to a flashpoint and this is the impression it gives? Not to mention the complete waste of time put into it only to get nothing out of it.
Have you hugged a Wookiee today?

This problem exists both with the Esseles and the Black Talon. Been that way ever since I started playing, pretty much since Inception. The only fix That I came up with, ( as bioware seems to be quite comfortable ignoring the question) is, at the end of either The Esseles or The Black Talon, just as it kicks in the Hyperdrive , I Alt-Tab to the Desktop, count to 3, then alt-tab back to the game. works for me, and I can continue on and finish.

Because people in their right mind realize that there are more important things in life than a video game. Companies like Bank of America and the other companies that had to be bailed out by the U.S. government, because their greed nearly bankrupted them, to avoid them completely crashing the American economy and seriously hurting the world economy... Companies that do oil spills and such and are destroying the planet... This all is WAY worse than a video game company that made a game whose ending you didn't like or who can't fix a few bugs.

I am in no way saying that EA shouldn't be held to a higher standard to fix bugs and such than they are currently meeting or that they didn't majorly drop the ball when they didn't delay Mass Effect 3's release to actually finish the ending instead of doing an "Extended Cut DLC" a few months later, but to vote them the "worst company in the world" is a sign of how entitled and idiotic most internet users are.

EDIT: I've been informed that the vote had nothing to do with actual games anyway, so maybe you should find out the real reasons the people who made that accusation did so and stop making yourself look like an idiot for thinking it's about oooh EA doesn't fix bugs in a game, boo hoo.
