[IMPORTANT] Character Loading Issues

Are you freaking kidding me, the game freezes after login, PERIOD.. this is a current and repeatable problem since the last two patches. WINDOWS 8 you freaking morons.

Well internet setup on netcafe that the game was working before patch and now is not is like "routers on>linux server>switches>to pc" server redirect pc clients based on game port to specific router, before patch was working like all other games fine, looks like there is some security improvements makes alot of ppl not able to login... but as long there is tones of other games managing the security's with other methods we still can wait for a fix i guess ... and yes if you setup a client pc take internet directly from router works fine.... BioWare please!!!!!!

Edit: i delete client_settings.ini and today work normal loading time to character select
Edit2: after like half hour play i get dc to server select and i am not able to login again also restart the game and now i can't get to character select xD

i was having the same issues with mine, made a post, called in.. etc..... so i took matters into my own hands and this is what i did to stop the loading screen/character log-in issues...

Step 1: reinstalled the game(3rd times the charm)
Step 2: go into the SWTOR folder, delete bitraider
Stap 3: delete client_settings.ini file
Stap 4: run the SWTOR client
step 5: wait for the game to re-patch itself
step 6: restart your computer

i know it seems like an odd process, but since i done that, my lag/loading screen issues have been fixed. try to give it a try an see if this works for u as well

I get dc yesterday and still i can't log. I reinstaled the game but problem are the same. can't go to server selection or character selection.
The pc whit geam load stay all night on and that i saw in the morning was the same

I am a user on this game and having trouble with loading my character up on the screen. I am using an dell 8500 running window 8 with the patch 8.1. Since the patch upgrade to 8.1 the SWTOR game does not load up correctly. I get the main screen but the character list panel does not show up or the small perference, settings, quit menu does not show up either. The Video changes from my normal 1900X1600 down to 800X620 when loading up. I have deleted the bitraider folder and reinstalled with no better outcome what can I do next? HELP Please I want to play this game on a bigger screen than a 15 inch.

Go ALT + Enter and enter window mode then set in-game gfx, if this fails you will likely need to edit the height and width, native height and width in the client_settings file to suit the monitor.

I bet DERP has something to do with it! They attacked SWTOR once and they're at it again!

If u ask me you need to shut down all servers and beef up our security.

I have this issue as well. I am in Mung Ja server. Picking the game up a few weeks back I decided to revisit. Long story. If I told you it would take a moment I suppose. yet I feel that the wait would be "shortly" e-mailed to you. Are you still playing that game?! ?

I'm not sure I'm sure I'm on the right post anymore. What a maze. Where is the support team?

My problems fixed looks like works fine last 2 days i didn't change anything on my connection setup. i just let you know
