So Ive got artificing up to 300+ but when I go to my trainer all the recipes for "mod" items appear to be unavailable and when I click on them I get a message saying "you do not have the required crew skill". Submitted a ticket and got the standard passed to be investigated response and my ticket was closed.

Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?

Fairly Certain that we aren't supposed to be making them

Was a hold over from when we could

Yeah, Mods are created by Cybertechs now.
Artifice has Hilts and Enhancements.

It does seem to leave a blank spot in the skill though...

Yeah, can't learn mods. These mods are different from the one that cybertech can make. We have rank 14 and they have 14a. The stats are slightly different as well.
"For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship. -Yoda

Artifice mods look much alike general force user ones as well... what would a non-force user know about a lightsaber?

Is pretty obvious as it is since we have two branches as it is force and non-force.
Support the Iconic Starwars way is all I can say, support Planet side stuff as well as Serious space content posibilities, don't be a one way person... go after perfection.
