Wait...WHAT? Every class?

I could have another 4% crit chance...just from companion affection? Or is it 8%, because of both factions?

Please elaborate. I will get to grinding convos IMMEDIATELY if I can get 8% crit chance...or even 4%....

Those companion buffs don't stack.

There still a major difference between ranked and normals, at least for me.

I have just recently like 2 weeks ago level my scoundrel to 55 stuffed here with legacy pve gear, grinded my conquerer in legacy shells + obroan relics, ear piece and implants, both sets fully augmented. The whole cost me at least 6mil credits just to have her ready for HM ops and ranked pvp at the same time. So for normal wz i dont really deem it worthy to stim (scoundrel heals is op anyway and scrapper underpowered, a stim will not change much about this in non-competitive play) and use my stims on the PVE stuff or ranked. You don't normally need to stim up for a hardmode FP, whereas in more serious PVE it little things that make the difference. This does completely translate to PVP, but still normal solo queue wzs me having a stim up or not will not change much, it is more likely somebody forgetting to call, people ignoring calls, people go for stupid 1v1sm, tanks not guarding, healers face tanking, dps not focusing, etc etc etc.

I do take pvp serious and i enjoy it, but i don't see that much of an advantage in a normal wz. Sure total min/maxing helps with everything, but having fully augmented obroan (min/maxed), being stimmed up, having all necessary datacron and max companion affection, doesnt automatically make you a good player.... it helps good players at the top level to have that little bit extra that at this level sometime can be decisive. In normal wzs more often than not there no visible difference.

Oh...then I've already got it.

I thought that sounded too good to be true. I know the presence buff stacks, but I assumed the others didn't.

Stims and augments will definitely be the difference between whether you can kill an op healer or not (I mean it's almost 600+ main stat, a little less than 1/3 extra of your stats without it). On my op healer I laugh off 3 unstimmed, unaugmented people fluff damaging me while I run around putting hots on my team and healing myself up with emergency medpack. On the other hand 2 fully augmented min/maxed conqueror enemies are my worst nightmare (3 is pretty much 1-2 GCD death).

If you really don't want to make gearing up for PvP a priority no one can stop you, but don't spread false information saying "it doesn't matter".

If you're going to lecture the community on using augments, at least do it properly. Main stat augments are almost always the wrong choice. Power is where it's at.

TBH, there is really no excuse for not having augments. Even if you don't craft, 20mins on Ilum nets you a kit, another 20 mins in the BH nets you an augment. There is no such thing as perpetual que pops, so I don't see why this is such a problem, besides people not feeling any personal responsibility to show up in a WZ, with the best gear possible, regardless of regs or ranked. Plus, you can have all your kits/augments before you hit 55. I used all my MK9 KITS and filled them with lower level augments until I hit 55. I have advocated HP and Valor checks for PvP for awhile, especially for ranked. When you que for team activities, your personal priorities NEED to take a back seat.

But that epic mount, and leet wardrobe are worth more than being a responsible teammate.

Depends who you are actually. Power gives you a total of +13 bonus damage over the MS augments if my memory serves correctly, while MS gives you + 1.5%-1.6% (depending on your class) crit over power augments. So if you are a smasher, you would probably want power, but I would prefer the extra crit percentage. Either one is fine honestly and will not make or break you.

It also depends on if you have a main stat skill on your skill tree. MS is better in that case. Even that is still minor, either is acceptable...

That's why I put in that "depends on your class" for the crit percentage, I guess I forgot to add it in for the bonus damage part as well.
