The point being, if Windows had a phone on the market and I was unaware of it, they weren't really in the market... at least not the consumer market. BTW, according to Wikipedia, Windows Phone is in essence a completely new OS, with previous software not compatible. Windows Phone, for practical purposes, is a completely new OS so it matters not if there was ever a Windows Mobile.

Making a Security Key App for a phone that's barely more than 3 years out of the gates (lol lol) just seems like a waste of time and effort. It's only a year ago that BlackBerry had the same market share that Windows Phone has managed to snatch up (3.6%). And BlackBerry has been the butt of jokes for a while now! What does that make Windows Phone? I think 3 years is time enough to make a splash, if ever there will be one. It must not be offering anything new or unique...

...
Are you talking about this phone? What part of that phone are you counting as similar to the original iPhone?? Name one similarity! It would be more accurate to call that HP phone a knockoff of the Palm V pda.
Boring conversation anyway.
Think twice. . . Think again.

I was forcibly upgraded to WP8 this year after an incident with gravity murdered my WP7.....

Having the option of having my Security Key on my phone would be fantastic, however.....

Soon please?

Myfness.....
Is that a puukko on your belt, or are you just happy to see me?

You're funny. You are acting like they said they will do this and now they're just procrastinating or something. No promisses were made and considering that Windows phones have the smallest market share of all of the smart phones, it's unlikely that you'll ever see this. Since Blackberry has a larger market share than microsoft, you're more likely to see an app for them first.

Hmm I looked into it, and from what I can discern, Windows Phone passed up Blackberry in market share sometime in mid-2013.

However I agree, Windows Phone is a joke. They should no more make an App version for Windows Phone than they should for Blackberry. Or the Palm V. Or Newton. Or Next. Or a JavaStation. Ok that one you may not have heard of.

Last report I looked at is dated July 2013 and it only had about 3% market share at that time.

Here is what I know. Me and my family use Windows phones. The 4 of us are subscribers. That means that 4 out of 4 people that matter to me have Windows phones. I know that is absolutely the most selfish way I can look at it, however it is fact. I truly don't care who has the biggest market share, or who makes the most popular phone. I care that the devs have decided that the way I choose to live my life is counter productive to them. I have been a sub since day one. Yet my cartel coin purchases + my sub fees and my voice are not enough for them to listen. I am certain (even if it is only 3%) all of us windows phone users dropped they would listen. I am acutely aware that is never going to happen, but 3% of their subscriber base is probably significant enough to listen.

My $0.02 at any rate.

Windows Phone has been around since October 2010 (a little over 3 years), while iPhone has been around for 6.5 years and Android for 5+ years. Take a wild guess at how many devs on the SWToR dev team have ever written a fully functional Windows Phone app ...
