I love my Inquisitor's accent. I could put her in 1776 London and she would fit right in.

sort of.

scottish people are proud to be british, but don't like to be referred to as english.

the british isles include england, scotland, wales, and ireland (and possibly some of the channel islands?) but people born in scotland, wales and ireland are not english.

On one of the quests (maybe a class quest I cant remember) there is even a comment made about someone who is supposedly a sith but has a republic accent (he has an American accent) O_o

Also it's not just the English accent on sith, I've also heard Scottish and even Welsh. All are British. If they were to include the whole of the UK there would be a lot more accents

"Many Bothans died to bring us this information" ring a bell with anyone?

The British accent seemed to me in the films to have more to do with social status than anything else. Many stormtroopers spoke with an American accent.

Er, no. Britain contains numerous linguistic subdivisions, not surprising since the United Kingdom is an amalgam of England, Scotland and Wales. (And even within these there are varieties, particularly in England.)

A Scottish accent a la Sean Connery is, well, Scottish, not "British."

Well, aside from all those separatists. Who are actually rather numerous in Scotland nowadays. Nationalism is on the march.
