We don't even have a target release date for 2.6, let alone any clue of any possible changes the dev crew is maybe considering testing.

They don't even listen to the feedback on their testing. I'm not going to hold my breath on it

Well, it's not exactly hard to predict now is it? Warriors/Knights will be buffed. Sorcs and Sages will endure another round of nerfs.

:: SORC PVP HEALING ::

Sorc needs the healing in PvP to balance out with the damage. Pre-rothc I pvp'd a lot and when I was 1v1 against someone I could almost heal forever. It took them some skill to use cooldowns/stuns/interrupts to take me out otherwise I was healing for a good couple of minutes. Now I find that lacking in pvp. The expertise is raising added damage in excess of 50% whilst the healing remains standard. It doesn't feel right.

Now I am not complaining about not being able to kill anyone as a healer. I don't think that should happen.

I do think when you see the damage numbers it consists of 10k sweeps, 9k crits, 6k hits, 3k glancing. These all come in a steady stream that is FASTER than the healing rate of a conquerer equipped sorc. The hits themselves add up to a large chunk of health but combined with interrupts and stuns they make it almost impossible to take any aggro as a healer. I am also fine with that but I still feel the healing is sub-par with the damage flying around.


:: SORC PVP FORCE BARRIER ::

Give a talent to sorcs where this heals 10% of health each second. it adds to the meta game of this skill a great deal. Do you cut it short to assist healing? Do you take the full 100% to last a bit longer as focus of pvp dmg? It is a nice skill, used in other mmo's successfully but waiting to die for 10 seconds isn't great for morale.

In Arenas (4 vs 4) Sorcerers are usually being focused on 1st. Sorcerers can have 3 to 4 people attacking them from the start. Which is why I think Sorcerers should have an instant aoe cc. Lots of other classes have an instant aoe cc. It makes sense that the class that is focused the most on in Arenas has one as well.

Here is a basic Idea I have, mind you it might need some refinement.

Basically our knockback feels the most weak and worthless out of the ranged dps options. The only thing overload has going for it is it's range and as a "master of the force" having a knockback that doesn't even half way compare to force push feels lame.

Telekinetic blast - A target based 20 meter range ability that is castable on the move and immune to interrupts. Cast time is up to 3 seconds but can be cast earlier if telekinetic blast is activated again before the 3 second. The longer this spell is cast the more powerful it becomes.

-1 second or less: Hits the target for a moderate amount of damage (1k to 3k) and knocks them back 15 meters.
-2 second: Hits the target and targets within 4 meters for a large amount of damage (2.5k to 5k) knocking all affected players back 20 meters.
-3 second (full cast): Telekinetic blast evolves reducing it's range to just 8 meters around the caster. Telekinetic blast explodes hitting all enemies around the caster knocking them back 25 meters and knocking them to the ground. Inflicts heavy damage on all affected enemies (3.5 - 8k damage)

Either that or add force slam back into the game.

I know it isn't necessarily balance related, but the sorc/sage sub classes just really don't have anything unique or fun about them to use. The class really needs something that makes it stand out and fun to play. Every class has a unique CC option or defensive option that really defines that class's role and feel. Sorc/sages only have force barrier which is neither fun to use nor really makes us scary. It honestly just removes us from the game, which is a very disappointing feeling.

The more I PvP -almost valor 90- the more I am more convinced Lightning Strike does NOT belong in Madness in any way or form. If Crushing Darkness is on CD my team is MUCH better off if I spread Affliction, Whirlwind, Purge, Pull, Overload, Stun and heal our healer if needed or top off my team...

The idea of a Resource Dump neglects how much resource all the utility I bring requires....

Assuming as a DPS/Madness Sorcerer all I do is DoT, DoT, shoot purple light out of my hands is plain wrong!

You can say, well then don't use it! I say ok but rework the higher tier talents to proc off my DoT's rather than Lightning Strike...after all Madness is a DoT build!

Sorc new stuff can be exciting.. they need to help fix issues in an exciting way and introduce some new exciting stuff.

e.g.
1. Force speed - a way to allow your force pspeed to continue on, but would drain your force usuage, this is after the initial burst.

2. a force jump - an acrobatic stylish jump in the direction you're moving (backbeddling willd o a stylish back flip) 15 m .

3. Telekintecially force controlled floating lightsaber that melee's a target while you attack from range - like your companion, you can use it's abilities independent of yours - it's abilities are your lightsaber melee movees - this can be a major new compoenent allowing some of the assssin/shadow abilities to become avialalbe to all consualrs seeing sorcs woudl be able to use melee abiliteis through the floating lightsaber.

4. Saber spear throw - available on targets lower than 30% health that propels the lightsaber forwrd like spear or javelin piercing the target and cutting it inside to do x damage. sorc then has an animation that shows him stretch out his hand and the lightsaber pulls out of the target back to his hand.. he can be casting other stuff whiles this happens

5. while polarity shif t is up - the lightning specced sage can cast while moving, and you can now move while casting lightning, but at 75% movement speed.
If it feels wrong, it usually is.
