If unleashed is running when a patch comes it, it can cause the system to try to patch the RAM disk files not the originals, which will cause issues. make sure to remove and quit or use the retail function for patches. Once the patch is working unleashed normally works fine. If unleashed seems to crash after a patch, try deleting the config file for it and reloading, chances are the file sizes changed and it needs to be adjusted in the settings file.
Ill giive an update. Today i started the game with its standard shortcut and making sure there is no unleashed ram drive installed. Right now patcher is redownloading over 40% of the game again. Ill try to disable bitraider before next patch to see if it work any better.

I always a bit aware of installing things like this...I already have an overclocking feature in my computer, and the game runs smoothly at higher settings, except for shadows that I have to have them at low settings. Any point on me installing this ?

Another update. After donwloading about 12% it completely stopped. I chaged launcher to use old patcher and offcourse game is redownloading it all again. If it ever happen again im done with this crap. How is it they cant even create properly working updater? Never saw such inept developers.

Last time i thought that maybe there is something wrong with my SSD but now im using a new one and it happens again.

This does not overclock you computer or RAM.

All that it does is copy certain game files from the hard drive to RAM and makes the computer think that the drive in RAM is another hard drive. It then creates shortcuts on the original hard drive pointing to the RAM drive to get SWTOR to look on the RAM drive for the certain game files.

The problem some run into is similar to Satanski: when BioWare updates their game, you must run the game in "normal" mode first to update the files on the hard drive then let SWTOR Unleashed make a new RAM drive.

If you have over 4 GB of RAM, I would recommend you use this program if you do more than sit on the fleet. This program helps with reducing loading times between places, but will cause the game to take longer to load at startup.

No. It may make different planets load a bit faster but that is about it.

sure, you might see some improvement but then you have the hassle of dealing with a 3rd party tool. The big bang for the buck (i.e. your time) is for people running on marginal hardware that has lots of RAM.

Hey, I wanted to try out this tool but whenever I try to open the .exe file " SwtorUnleashed.exe " it gives me the error that it stopped working, immediately after I click it? I have all the perquisite programs installed, what am I missing?

Is ImDisk installed? Try to keep all files in the Zip file together and extract them into the SWTOR program files folder.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do have Imdisk installed and tried to put all the files in the SWTOR folder but it still gives the stopped working error when I click it

Make sure you have downloaded it from the right place:
http://www.metasharp.net/swtor/Swtor...hed_v3.4.2.zip

If that does not work, try restarting the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and see if it works. If it does, then you have some program on your machine interfering with it: most likely your antivirus.

Make sure that you have more than 4 GB on your machine: 3 GB is the bare minimum and 3-4 is iffy.

This really does speed up the game. I'm running an 8 core 4.1 Ghz, 8GB Ram, Intel 520 SSD and a Gainward GeForce 760 4GB, and it's speeding it up even on this setup.

The game engine is pretty crap, they could have used another one, and they could have used streaming of maps rather than loading the whole map directly. If they did it like WoW, it would be just as fast as WoW to load a planet. Sadly, they did not, but this nifty thing speeds it up as much as it possibly can.
