if you were to allow folks to be able to change it once, the cries for twice would soon be incomming, when they played the new one and realised that they prefered the original one they had.

1. i am not a child and people that bring age in to things tend to be 16 year olds being a internet hero.

2. the advance class with the bounty hunter changes over time with levels and unlocks i played the same AC in beta and i enjoyed it i only got it to 18 in beta all was fine.
the funny thing with mmorpgs is the ability's you start of with you tend to not use at max level they tend to come redundant when you finely get your class's combo ability's.

I don't see any major problems by letting people change their AC once, when they don't enjoy it anymore, or isn't what they expected.

Making them start all over again is a bit harsh.

It's not like a Jedi Knight changing to Jedi Consular, AC's have the same core abilities.

During beta I read it somewhere that they are going to allow changing AC's sometime after launch. They mentioned that it would get progressively more costly to change or be a onetime deal, can't remember if they decided which. But I definitely read it would be added after launch.

And no it wasn't dual spec that they were talking about, it was changing AC's.

I don't have the link anymore so take it for what it's worth and believe what you will.

After playing Rift, I can say that being able to switch around a lot is definitely a good thing.

Roll a new class. It's not like leveling to 50 is hard. Seriously.

I dont see what all the flame is about. Things change. Your flaming him for having a change of opinion. So he wants to respec into a different adv class? He's arguing that a one time change would be pretty nice. I agree. I dont wanna do the same class quests 2 times just to see what I really want to play. I would rather find out be choosing what appealed to me. Then later down the road I realize that the AC I chose wasnt what I thought it was going to be and the other one is. Is that really that hard to grasp? Or are you waiting in Q with nothing better to do but to be a pain?

It is so funny looking at people getting all angry when someone dare speak about adv class respec. Like if the game would totally be destroy if such a thing would occur. I have absolutely no problem with dual spec or even dual adv class. I personally like to have flexibility with the class i enjoy playing. I think what the OP is asking is reasonable even for people horrified by dual AC.

And please stop trying to convince yourselves that advanced classes are 2 completely different classes. AC are more like different spec then different class (they even share a talent tree). Picking between merc and ptech is not even close to choosing between BH and SW.

Anyway, how will it kill your game if people could change their advance class. If AC respec existed, you couldn't make the difference between someone that respecced AC and someone that leveled another toon of the same class with a different AC. It would just be more convenient to re-spec than to re-level.

its my opinion.

I enjoy the game as it is, so if a feature like that is implemented, cool. If not, no biggy.

I finnd it almost comical how the self righteous people in this thread think they are owed somme sort of "pure" MMO gaming experience becuase of <insert poor excuse here> happened in the past that upset them. As a paying customer I find it reasonable that I should be able to respec into a different end game role as 1) needed by my raiding team or 2) I just want to do something different. Currently I am not able to go from a tank to a healer. It seems like a reasonable request.

I continune to see the recurring comment "it takes 3 hours to level to 10"... that is not true. Just look at the average leveling time. It is way past 3 hours. Not to mention that value of my time in a pure dollars stand point. And then there is the whole "So what?" arguement that it takes [more than] 3 hours to level 10. That has zero bearing on the fact that I can't change my advanced class.

I will bet that within the 1st year that the self righteous in this thread will come upon a situation where they would like the ability to change thier advanced class rather than leveling up a new toon to 50 and then trying to gear it. Get off your high horse people.
