Lol, I can see that.

I love how it's called "laziness" to request a convenience feature that has been a mainstay in the MMO industry for many years now.

Yes, I CAN take the time to redo my talent tree and reset my toolbar manually every time I want to change specs. I can and do. But that doesn't mean it's "lazy" to want dual spec or to find the current way we have to do things tedious and dated.

People really have their priorities whacked. Why don't we just get rid of quick travel and fleet pass too? Convenience features are SO lazy!

MOP.. Dual spec'ing is bad for the game.. Simple as that..

What we have is fine.. At the very least it is free... People don't need an easy button..

Also, make no mistake.. In video games, there is little difference between convenience and easy..
Yes MOP was bad for the game but you are forgetting a very important part of your argument... this game is not WoW, this game has similarities but that doesn't mean the game will be made worse by dual spec. I have met people who have swapped spec but not gear and been bad, making it more convenient doesn't mean the game will become worse.

So many games have this and it only makes it better. Players should have an option to change spec easily, we can already do it so your argument being the risk of the game worse doesn't apply because we can already change specs. This will just save us time when changing specs.

It sounds like you are annoyed with field respec, giving people the ability to swap specs whenever they want already exists so the game can only benefit from this change because it will save time which means more time for people to be playing the game which is a good thing.

Field respect only does half the job. In groups, people seem to get upset if they have to wait more than a 10th of a second for anything and seem to get impatient if they have to wait for someone to respect. I'm a more impatient person my self, but would much rather be able to switch back and forth more easily and with out having to remember my spec trees for each toon and making sure that the icons go back to my quick bar where I want them.

So yeah, we still want dual spec.

In return you can't say that it won't either. You have to look at the evidence.. Even if that means looking at the effects it had on other MMO's..

Dual Spec'ing was not good for WOW and there is nothing that says it will be good here.. Let's not destroy the game to find out..

What we have is fine.. I realize it is a little inconvenient to change specs but hey.. Let's let our specs actually mean something..

I wouldn't say I am annoyed.. WOW always had the ability to change specs too.. You had to go to your trainer and progressively pay more to reset your talents.. That is pretty much how I would leave it in this game.. I think the game would be so much better if people specialized and actually took the time to learn a spec.. WOW had to nerf the raids and heroics shortly after dual spec'ing was added.. The skill level of players dramatically dropped.. People start pressuring people to play roles they didn't want to play.. Just because they had a class that could play a certain roll..

WOW spoiled us in that our spec was never meant to be changed like a pair of socks.. Our specs are supposed to have meaning.. We are supposed to learn them and be good at them.. Not change them on a whim..

I can accept that we have field respect and it is free.. But I can't agree with the WOW button that does it all..

Yup, would love to be able to set up two or more specs and save them so when I swap between them it automatically switches my bars around.

My corruption spec looks nothing like my madness spec on my bars.

Oh yeah, it was terrible, Dual Talent Specialization was added to WoW in patch 3.1.0 (14 April 2009) when WoW had 11 million subs, in the course of the next six months WoW managed to get up to his subs record at 12 Million subs and stayed there for another full year.

The "nerf" to instances and raids is nothing related to Dual Spec, it started long before April 2009, it was a consecuence of WoW success, as more and more new players came to the game just because they saw it featured on their favorite TV show, they had to continually lower the dificulty of entry level, to compensate it and appraise their veterans base they kept the hard modes .. hard.

Please, before throwing opinions as facts, at least, do some research.
A long time from now, in a galaxy far, far away, fanbois will realize they hurt games they love in a way no troll could ever dream of.

If I was on a pvp server this would be essential and id want a quick swap over.....

im on rp so it doesn't matter to me but would be nice......

You want to quest in an area where you're going to be ganked and want to go alone, don't be a healer cos the best you're hoping for is just getting away.....you want to swap to dps but you don't want to take ages resetting up everything......too obvious for words how handy this would be.....its simply a facility for something I can do for nothing as many times as I like all day but its a quick/easy and convenient way of doing it..........can't say that's asking for much and people will pay cartel credits im sure if necessary....wow, we'll make them rich if they like it or not lol
The time of the Empire is now truly upon us

Wow didn't nerf raids because of dual spec, that is a ridiculous claim. Raids became easier because more players came along so the need for different difficulty levels was needed. Remember they are out to make money which they got from making the game easier so more people could play it.

Also i don't want this to sound like personal stab/angry talk at you, it is hard to type the same way i am meaning for this to sound like. I really think it won't make this game any worse. Talent tree problems that followed with wow were separate from dual spec, they were making the game easier for young kids learning about MMO's.

I don't remember people being forced to play specs they don't want but i do remember people who were more inclined to trying new specs out because it wasn't too big a hassle to swap back. Technically no one has an excuse not to be a healer or s tank because they can swap whenever they need so in that sense people can ask you to be a switch if it is needed.

All dual spec can do is save us time so if we could have a way to save specs or maybe we can save different quickbars and upload them that would be good enough.

Hell in WoW, my dual spec on my warrior was an arms spec for PvP and a fury spec for raiding, and when cata rolled around two arena specs, one arms, one smf.

Dam BW!! i would gladly pay 100-200 cartel coins for each additional multi-spec slot on each of my characters.

Lets say, id like to have 4 spec slots (2 above initial dual), 6 characters, that 12 additional spec slots = 1200-2400 cartel coins = happy customer + happy Jeff

We all win!! do it!!

PD: i could also live with just a Dual Spec system :P
