Pfft. pay for repair bills? PvP would cease to exist. Considering you get nothing as far as credits are concerned in comparison to OPs.

Let's see here: 8man team takes down 2.5m hp boss gets gear drop.

8man PvP teams easily tops that amount of damage in any given wz. Not that I'm asking for gear drops, just saying.

This is not PvP's problem, this is your problem.

Sack-up and do the PvP, or wait for the item that you want from PvE. Far be it from me to hope that your team votes you to get it in week 8 rather than week 1.
Such a thing doesn't exist. I even went back and looked at the PvP set bonuses...there is nothing there worth the huge hit you take by having expertise on the armoring. Outside of some healing set bonus that mimic the PvE bonuses except for, you know, the expertise hit the majority of those set bonuses are PvP centered and help in no way in PvE.

If I was putting a raid together and saw someone with PvP armorings and set bonuses, I'd quickly be looking for a replacement. Thankfully, that hasn't happened yet.

You know what the problem with this thread is? It is so brainless of an idea that BW may just read this (ignoring all other feedback that would actually improve the game) and think: "now wait a minute, that could work...."

This is a prime example of the problem. Stick your heads in the sand yet again.

So this is the part where all you do is flame my thread and give no actual thoughts or substance back.

Every one that is on here and said that i am wrong about the pvp set bonus and about the countless relics that are BIS, need to go check there info be for commenting back.. You really have no idea how stupid you sound and how much about the game that you really don't know.

Ask ANY decent Sniper in PVE and see what set bonus they are using . Go check your info. Go check tor parse And count how many ticks of orbital strike are hitting.

The top DPS class in the game is effected by PVP set bonus, Along with countless other set bonuses and relics of other classes.

So every one that is saying , pvp and pve are completely different and separate systems and have no over lap are WRONG, And there opinions need to be ignored.

Now back to the point , It is To easy to get these PVP items , PVP coms Should be Capped , and not allowed to trade up.

A couple things:

1) sounds like you shouldn't be complaining for an "easy" way to get BiS gear? hmmm?

2) that there are set bonuses and BiS gear that are PvP items is a fault of the numbers on the gear itself not the system for how you obtain PvE vs. PvP gear.

3) The reason it takes longer is to stretch the completion of content so you don't run through all of their content in 4 weeks before they can get newer stuff put together.

4) You still haven't addressed the issue that while this is definitely the case for 2nd tier items, Obroan gear takes a good 4-5 times longer to acquire than top-tier PvE sets. If you want your 2nd tier faster they would also have to find a way to "balance" the timing of when the 3rd tier is acquired. There are no "drops" or "rolls" on PvP gear in the game.

Those are facts, and they are facts that others have brought up and addressed and you have failed to adequately respond to them. Lets not name-call and take debate on this issue so personally that you start to rage.

Snipers currently wear the 2 piece set bonus from PVE and the 2 piece set bonus from PVP for max DPS.

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=657177

Set Bonus
For maximum DPS output, the 2-pc PvE set bonus and 2-pc PvP set bonuses are the best.

  • PvE (2): Reduces the cooldown of Target Acquired or Illegal Mods by 15 seconds, and activating either ability restores 15 energy.
  • PvP (2): Increases duration of XS Freighter Flyby or Orbital Strike by 3 seconds.

AND A SECOND LINK:

http://swtorboard.wordpress.com/2013...arksmanship/#7

"2-pc PVE and 2-pc PVP for more DPS (soon to be tied to 4-pc PVP)

(2) Reduces the cooldown of Target Acquired or Illegal Mods by 15 seconds, and activating either ability restores 15 energy.
(2) Increases the duration of Orbital Strike or XS Freighter Flyby by 3 seconds."

PVE and PVP relics, armorings, etc are combined in PVE more than you realize...

1) Answer : I am complaining that it is too easy to get this gear. That is one of the Biggest complaints. You can get BIS slot gear from other means than pve , and the effort requited to get these pieces are only takes a few days at the longest..

2) ANSWER : If the systems where separate and had not bearing on the other then you would be right , but pvp gear is required to be BIS. sense that effects pve, then the way which you get these pieces matters to me bc it is so important. Pvpers would understand if you had to work for your gear and be separated by content or class to get it.

3) Answer: as i have said over and over again. I want it to be harder to get gear. PVP HAS THE ADVANTAGE IN ACQUIRING GEAR IT IS TOO EASY. you have to pvp to get these Pve BIS pieces so they are skipping the grind and content to get these pieces. What should take weeks and months to get together, you can acquire in Days. That is the problem

4) Answer: If you got rid of the com exchange 2 things would happen. 1st you would have people acutely working to the Obroarn gear , and it would take a good amount of time . People would earn it. Yes it would be hard at 1st but that is what it is suppose to be hard. 2nd It would help Curb Pve ers from getting this gear in the 1st place , You dont have PVP ers in NIM runs bc of gear You should not have PVErs in Ranked Zones with no gear.

Ill add, If the table was turned ,and pvpers were required to do Operations to get a piece of BIS, and getting that gear was way easier than getting the Oboarn version, these forums would be on fire . Just think if the shoe was on the other foot for a moment.

ANSWER PART B: I 100% disagree with you on how long it take to gear Bis pve VS pvp. If you had a good 8m Raid that met every week and ran the top content, It would take a min of 16 weeks to get BIS. Simple math, 1 relic drops a week, you need 2 to be Bis , 8X2=16. This is the fastest it will take to BIS. Now due to the PVP no com limit and trade up com issue. you can ignore this and get both relics in 3 days maybe 4.
( same principle works for implants bc you need 2, Not the mention how you need multiple drops of the same thing to get 1 enhancement. example, Offhand for Good acc/power Enhancement)

These are the Facts.

PVP needs a Com Cap and not allowed to trade up coms

go check out the pvp forums "how to be a contender" thread. It breaks down the requirements of PvP gear to this:

Conqueror Piece ............. WZ Commendations
Chest ............. 1,000 (was 1,425)
Legs ................. 1,000 (was 975)
Head ............. 1,000 (was 1,075)
Gloves ............. 1,000 (was 875)
Boots ............... 1,000 (was 875)
Belts ................ 600 (was 625)
Bracers ........... 600 (was 550)
Ear .................. 800 (was 625)
Implant ............ 800 x2 (was 625 x2)
Offhand ........ 1,250 (was 1,550)
Mainhand ..... 1,250 (was 1,550)
Relic ................ 700 x2 (was 550 x2)
Total ........... 11,700 (was 12,475 Regular Commendations)

and then Obroan:
Obroan Piece ............. WZ Commendations
Chest ............. 2,500 (was 3,200)
Legs ................. 2,500 (was 2,225)
Head ............. 2,500 (was 2,425)
Gloves ............. 2,500 (was 2,000)
Boots ............... 2,500 (was 2,000)
Belts ................ 1,425 (same)
Bracers ........... 1,250 (same)
Ear .................. 1,400 + conqueror piece (was 1,425 + 200 regular)
Implant ............ 1,400 x2 (was 1,425 +200 regular x2)
Offhand ........ 3,500 (was 3,475)
Mainhand ..... 3,500 (was 3,475)
Relic ................ 1,300 x2 (was 1,425 + 200 x2)
Total ........... 27,575 (was 28,600 Ranked Commendations + 1,000 Regular Commendations (82,725 REGULAR COMMENDATIONS!!!)

Adding those two together gives a total of 94,425 regular commendations to gear a toon, not min/maxed mind you, just to acquire the gear.

IF you lost every wz you were in it would take: 1259 warzones to get all of this gear (at 75comms a pop which is high)

If you won every warzone it would take: 787 warzones (at 120 per win which is also high).

At 15 minutes per warzone this is time spent playing to acquire gear (at an average of 15 minutes/warzone):

Loss: 314hrs and 45minutes
Win: 196hrs and 45minutes

This does not take into affect dailies and weeklies (which PvE has as well).

So if you played for 24 hours a day for 8-13 days you could have a full set of obroan gear. Lets assume that you only play 2 hours a day for seven days a week it would only take you 22 weeks to get a full set of Obroan gear.

What I am getting at is time spent actually PLAYING not just "waiting" is actually LONGER for PvP than for PvE.

I don't get what the big deal is. It's just affecting snipers, and they are changing the armouring set bonus soon, so it's a moot point. And the PVE relics are better than the PVP relics, therefore the PVP relics are not BiS.
