Bring Tatooine Event Back; But With Different Rewards

You really don't fully read posts nor comprehend them do you? I have seen a few of your replies back to people who said similar things and you got all defensive and telling them things like you just replied back to me.

Oh, on a side note, you don't just want to have the event back. You said yourself you HAVE to have new items or you will quit. So obviously you want more then just the event. According to you that is.

I just want to complete my old containment officer gear that I never finished getting all of.

They already said in a deve update a few months ago they were bringing it back.

I cannot speak for the poster you quoted, but I can speak for myself. The answer to your questuions is an unequivocal YES. If I was not playing during an event, for whatever reason, that had "once in a lifetime" rewards, I would not expect the devs to make those rewards available to everyone. I would expect the devs to keep those rewards unique and to not even offer "recolors" of those rewards if those rewards were not already recolors of existing items already in the game. That goes for if I was out of town and could not play, if I was "taking a break from the game" or if I started player after the event or for any other reason. Paying a subscription, or even playing an F2P game, does NOT entitle anyone to EVERYTHING in the game.

In response to the OP, not everyone loved the event. Many people hated it. I'm sure that even some of those that participated did so grudgingly, and only to get the rewards.

The armors are already BOL. The crystals should not be, IMO, as they can already be sent to alts via legacy weapons.

I do not think any of the rewards for the plague even should be added to the collections interface. That would allow for "infinite" copies when they were not earned. Those that bought crystals or pets should not be able to produce an unlimited number of them. The same goes for the pets and armors that were quest rewards.

You CHOSE not to participate in a limited time event, in favor of playing a game that would be available long after t he limited time event ended, and now you want to cry foul because you might have to actually live with the consequences of a decision that YOU made? I think those armors should remain unobtainable for those that did not earn them during the event.

before you even ask, I did not earn the republic containment officer's armor and did not purchase the sandpeople armor from the Chevin event. I can't get the sharp dresser achievement, either.

Did you get your Hyrotti Scrapper during the Chevin Event, or more recently from the seeker droid dig sites?

This sets the new precedent that old "once-and-done" rewards CAN and probably will be recycled and made available in future events or otherwise. You might not personally like it, but it is the reality now.

Unfortunately, I fear that you may be correct. BW may well cave to the entitled clamoring from people who can't stand to see someone else with something that they don't have. They already did so with the crossbows, as well.

I got mine back then and didn't realize how cool it was until much later. I would love another set.
